I was wondering if any Seattleites (apparently the correct term) could help me find some tourist locations in and around the city. I am looking for touristy things, not night life. Keep in mind I like things that are cheap. I have looked up some, but I was wondering some personal advice, as I have never been there. I have saved this all to google maps 'my places' and will show later (if there is interest).

I would like to go to Olympic National Park, but it seems that would be a 8 hour trip in and of itself. Maybe next year. So any help is appreciated...

Also to anyone who has been to Olympic National Park
was it worth it?
It is really big, where should I go (prioritize me)?

The Washington Park Arboretum (free). They have some monster plants there, you can spend a couple hours strolling around.

Mighty-O Doughnuts, they have vegan doughnuts but don't let that fool you because their cake doughnuts are delicious.

Pyramid brewery has good food, but it isn't the cheapest.

The Rusty Pelican Cafe in the Wallingford neighborhood.

Also in Wallingford, Irwin's is a coffee shop/cafe good for breakfast/brunch/light lunch. Also free wifi.

If you like hiking, Mount Si is a decent day hike. 4 miles one way, 4000 ft elevation change if i recall correctly. At the top of Mt. Si is a rock formation called The Haystack which you can freeclimb if it is dry. DO NOT CLIMB IF IT IS WET OR RAIN IS POSSIBLE. YOU WILL DIE IF YOU DO.

Edit: You can still do the hike if it's rainy, the trail is wide and in good condition.

I went to Olympic national park. I only went to one place, though. If you like camping its pretty awesome.... But I am kind of biased against natural tourist sites. It will also cost you quite a bit in gas to drive there.

You could go see the very first Starbucks store. Personally I don't like Starbucks but it would still be kind of interesting to go there IMO.
