I'm back to laddering, and you know what? ITS FUCKING DEPRESSING... I mean I play Protoss and I have never hated my race more.... PvZ is still a good game, yeah we probably have the advantage in that for those who cant counter a deathball, but then again I don't death ball its the way I play. PvT is in my opinion the best match up to show my skills. If I am not on my A game, I will most likely fall to the terran bio-ball. But PvP.... all I see is cheese
Is it just because people like Deezer and CombatEx have become so popular, and people with no skill are realising all they have to do is veto maps they can't cheese well on, and cheese every match up they get? At least more then 50% of my ladder games in PvP were cheese, and the problem is, its usually the cheesers who are higher rank... My most recent game, the cheeser did the whole pylons behind the mineral line and cannon trick. Then tried to give me a lesson how I need to open forge first... is this really what is happening to PvP? Is cheese Protoss' only option. Like I'm scouting at 9, but all that shows is he is either proxying Forge or 2 Gate, like herp fucking derp.
I am slowly losing my faith in protoss, less to do with the fact that I hate going up against cheese time and time again in a mirror matchup, but that I don't really want to be associated with the "cheesing race". Until blizzard implements a system into SC2 where if you are above Plat, and you cheese every game, you get an almost, but not lethal, dose of electricity to teach you that your are a pathedic individual, I think I'll just go over to Terran.
Until I make the switch officially, I'm just going to stay off ladder and continue playing against my training partners where I can get some real practise time in, and not have to worry about stanky cheese.
PS... You know what would be cool, is if your first Hatchery, Nexus, and Commander Center, had a special ability which would auto destroy probes/drones/scvs if they came within a range slightly greater than a cannon's reach to prevent strats such as behind mineral line cannons. Therefore cannons can still be used against those who do a very greedy expo first, you know to punish the greedy, lol, but prevents the punishment of those who are just trying to mine minerals at their main :D
Sorry I'm mad bro

Yea until you get out of bronze there's a ton of cheese. I don't mean that statement to insult you (entirely) but whenever I ladder in masters I would have to say that 90%+ of my PvP games are straight up. By straight up of course I mean no canon rush, and the game reaches a point beyond 4gate.
The thing about having a low MMR is that it's not only you that doesn't have a ton of strategies and builds to choose from, it's everyone your playing against. In my honest opinion being in any of the lower leagues is really just to teach you how to defend cheeses and all-ins. What else do you need to learn down there?
Give it some time and learn to properly scout out cheeses and all-ins and I'm sure you would have a different opinion of protoss.
I have to get to work now but I will 4 star your blog for effort put in. ttyl

Just stick to standard play and good scouting and you'll be stomping these cheesy noobs. :D Strong mechanics will get you far my friend. Don't lose faith in protoss, such an awesome race, but I think they're all awesome. Should probably just stick with practice partners as you said, to avoid the cheesy fucks, but also you need to learn to defend those kinda of things as well. good luck!

No matter which race you play, I recommend to accept the game as it is.
If you get cheesed very often, you can learn to counter and take the ladder points.
At first, it is hard to let go of a particular concept how do you would like to play. Most games you play will not fit in that. But inbetween you can have those few games you remember for a long time.

Well if you see nothing in his base. Scout around and make sure you don't let the probe get behind your mineral line. I would put your 2nd pylon there, so that is impossible to cannon there (esp. Xelnaga Caverns) If u see proxy gate, throw up a forge and place a cannon. PvP cheese is quite easy to stop. If I lose to a cheese, I always gg, b/c it was my fault and not his for losing.
