That whole conversation is hilarious! I always wondered what SC2 players who never touched BW would think about not having automine! I played SC1 on the N64 back in 2000/2001 and they HAD automine, so it was a little bit of a shock when starting on iccup two summers ago. You're going to mess up worker placement A LOT before you get the timings down, so don't sweat it! The hardest part about playing BW (and SC2, for that matter) is learning how to think about it. The second hardest part (at least for a beginner) is improving passed D-/D on iccup. The skill necessary to make D+ is MUCH higher than the skill needed to stay out of D-. I always thought of the learning curve as the side of a cliff. It's a lot of hard work, but once you get the swing of things you'll look back on your struggles with the AI and say "I died to THAT?!". | ||
