When MLG Columbus came around I knew my chance had come. On Monday, June 6th, the day after MLG Columbus, I plugged in my mic, loaded up FRAPS, and opened mlgpro.com in search of the best replays not seen from all of the brackets. So began my quest to bring great games to the Starcraft 2 community.

First replay? It has to be Destiny. Days before the tournament, calling his play the best it has ever been. Confident in every match up. His chance to prove he belongs in the discussion with the top North American players. Loses in the first round to eMgDarkCell. On Saturday? DESTROYS the losers bracket. Goes 10-0 leading up to a matchup against xiSlurgi in Losers round 8. If he wins two more matches he gets a rematch against the player who defeated him in WB round 1. Thousands spam the refresh button on the losers bracket page on Saturday, wondering how long his streak will last.

What other player turns heads? Who had the potential to come out of no where and take the tournament by storm? Who wowed everyone with immaculate multitasking and impressive drop play? sixjaxMajor. Started his 2011 MLG Columbus tournament run 4-0 in the Winners Bracket, finds himself matched against ONEostojiy a top 10 NA Grandmaster and also 4-0. Enter one of the best if not the best Terran vs Zerg series I have ever seen.

Every tournament MLG finds a way to match EG players with each other early. Team kills between mainly Machine and Incontrol in previous MLG's, the setting is changed a little. EGDeMusliM, making his competitive play debut after a broken hand limited his play time, meets teammate EGStrifecro in winners bracket round 2. That's right, round 2. I knew I could not ignore a series that pitted these two ferocious players against each other so early, a series that concluded with a keyboard broken to pieces and a player storming from the venue.

Who thought a 15 year old player could become one of the most mentioned Terrans in the North American scene? I knew I had to cast a replay from VT's Pokebunny. Making a ferocious run through the winners bracket only to DNS in round 5, Pokebunny had revenge on his mind upon dropping to the losers bracket; meeting a player from ROOT who refused to be eliminated from Columbus after losing early in the winners bracket. ROOTFayth and VTPokebunny meet in Round 8 in the losers bracket, a combined 21-1 record thus far in MLG Columbus.
