Hello all, Just another bored thread.
I'm a masters league protoss player ( over 3k in "skill" ) if that's worth anything. And lately I am finding myself bored. Ladder games usually play out with some sort of cheese or gimicky strats that are not very enjoyable to play against, so I have been keeping away from that and I only have one good practice partner.
The point of this blog is that, well, I am bored lately and longing for some sort of RPG to play. MMO/Online is prefered. I have lately been killing time with quakelive, cs 1.6 and portal 2. But those games aren't really as fun as an RPG would be.
While I do love starcraft 2, I dont' like playing it when my brain isn't 100% or I am tired, and so I need something to do in the off hours of sc2.
Does anyone know anything I could kill some time on? I'm waiting for my SwToR beta but I doubt that's going to show up.

I played competitive Dota (cal invite ) and HoN up to around 1800 or 1900 psr. Isnt' LoL just a knock off of either of those? Ty though, looking for an rpg =(

go old school with Baldurs Gate 1/2 or Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind.
Also isn't there some MMO thats sposed to be comparable to WoW? I forgot the name of it...

I think you mean Rift. I've heard mixed reviews, and when I looked at it, I wasn't too impressed in all honesty. The forums are full of op QQ, and the community seems meh :\

I've played WoW since beta, gone through all the content and always been a top tier player. It's just not enjoyable anymore. I guess I'm stuck waiting :| Apparently the only games out there are Sc2/Bw and Hon/Dota/LoL haha.
I figured tlnet community would have some insight on neat rpgs I haven't heard about but I guess they just don't exist.

In this case I'll advise Planescape Torment. Best story I've seen in a video game, truly epic.Well, you probably know it already.

You can try Lord of the rings online if you want, it is free to play now. (Haven't played it but friends have told me it is fun to kill time in if you are not serious)

You could try playing Chrono Trigger via a ROM.
I heard that it's a great game. I randomly got my brother the ROM to use on his iTouch, and he's been having a blast.
If all else fails, you could try Minecraft...

Having played DotA and HoN for years I have to say that I find HoN sub-par. All my friends that I used to play DotA have moved on to LoL and they tell me its really good although I haven't tried it myself.
Personally I recommend Bloodline Champions. Fun little competitive game that is easy to learn and hard to master that should keep you occupied for a while.
Do you like JRPGs? In that case Last Scenario is a pretty good free one. They tell me persona 4 is good aswel, never tried it.
