Hello all, Just another bored thread.
I'm a masters league protoss player ( over 3k in "skill" ) if that's worth anything. And lately I am finding myself bored. Ladder games usually play out with some sort of cheese or gimicky strats that are not very enjoyable to play against, so I have been keeping away from that and I only have one good practice partner.
The point of this blog is that, well, I am bored lately and longing for some sort of RPG to play. MMO/Online is prefered. I have lately been killing time with quakelive, cs 1.6 and portal 2. But those games aren't really as fun as an RPG would be.
While I do love starcraft 2, I dont' like playing it when my brain isn't 100% or I am tired, and so I need something to do in the off hours of sc2.
Does anyone know anything I could kill some time on? I'm waiting for my SwToR beta but I doubt that's going to show up.

I think you mean Rift. I've heard mixed reviews, and when I looked at it, I wasn't too impressed in all honesty. The forums are full of op QQ, and the community seems meh :\

You could try playing Chrono Trigger via a ROM.
I heard that it's a great game. I randomly got my brother the ROM to use on his iTouch, and he's been having a blast.
If all else fails, you could try Minecraft...

Personally I recommend Bloodline Champions. Fun little competitive game that is easy to learn and hard to master that should keep you occupied for a while.
Do you like JRPGs? In that case Last Scenario is a pretty good free one. They tell me persona 4 is good aswel, never tried it.

as for RPGs i got oblivion a couple of days ago and while i haven't played loads of it yet it seems pretty awesome. got all the expos and DLC on steam for 20quid. new vegas was pretty good too

Well, Morrowind is one of my favorite rpgs, i think i spent like hundreds of hours with that game. Or Kotor is awesome as well. Or the whole fallout series

However LoL and Dota/Hon(the last two are very very similiair) while 3 games of the same genre(MOBA) are really really different, and all can be played at a competitive level and are hard to master.

Pokemon is always a good timesink(no joke), there is Diablo 2 if you can stand the graphics(it is a very very good game). There are alot of decent dungeon crawlers(not topnotch but decent) Divine Divinity(and Beyond Divinity) and Torchlight come to mind.

First, you have to give some arguments which you didn't. You said it's stupid, nothing more. And you said it makes no sense, killing your own units. Why does it make no sense then? It happened in real life, so it can happen in games as well. And even if we ignore the real life thing, it makes sense because it serves a purpose, to deny your opponent the exp.
