I just received notice that my student loan has been approved and I am going back to school :D :D
This is huge for me because I've been doing a whole lot of fuck all since high school. That was like 8 years ago. I'm sick of working at dead end jobs and construction etc.
I'm going to be in school for 57 weeks to get a diploma as a Network Systems Engineer. The courses will give me my CompTIA, A+, Net+, Security+, MCTS, CCNA...The acronyms go on for a while, but you get the idea. I've always been pretty savvy with computers and networking, so I don't anticipate it being too difficult. I'm very excited!

If I could give any advice, I hope you do not underestimate the difficulty of going back to school after a long break. If you've been out for a long time it can be very hard to get back into the learning process. It will take a lot of motivation and hard work to get back into the mindset of learning new things rather than working routine jobs. It's great that you're going to study things you're interested/good in, that definately helps a lot.
