Anyway, because of the differences I like to participate in both. I decided to make a guide for how to sign up + bet for those of you who can't/can't be bothered to figure out how to by themself.
So, let's start from the beginning. Go to http://www.playxp.com/
First, you need to register - click the register link circled here, on the top right of the page.
Than will take you to this page - check all the boxes, then put your email in the bottom form. Click the green button to proceed.
You should get a page confirming that an email was sent to your email.
Go to your email. For me it was in my main inbox, but check your spambox if you don't see it after about 30 seconds. The first long link will confirm your registration, the 2nd is there to deny it in case somebody else signs up your email or something. Click the first, circled, link.
This will take you to the form to fill out all your registration info. I've put english text next to all the sections so you know what's going on.
The password recovery questions, I can't translate them. I recommend picking the first or last one and just putting in your mother's maiden name or something.
The 2nd to last thing, with the dropdown box, I have no idea what that does but it doesn't seem too important. The checkbox to allow playxp to send you stuff is optional.
There is 1 more special instruction here - you should check to see if your names are taken. If the name you want is taken, a box like this will pop up.
This is the box that will pop up if your name isn't taken, so you can have it.
When you've filled out everything to your approval, once again click the green box. There are a couple of dialog boxes that pop up, just hit OK.
Congratulations! Your account is created and you're back at the main page. It's time to make some bets. Often the playxp admins will put up posts with all the bets linked, but you can also go to them directly by clicking the XP World link, circled here, in the top bar.
There are a lot of bets listed today because of GSL WC. There are also BW matches and I think baseball games on the list in between now and TSL, fortunately you can filter. Click the TSL3 button to see only TSL bets.
On this next page we can see one example of the different types of bets. There are bets for who wins outright, and bets for the score for this round of TSL. For this example we'll bet on the Tyler-Thorzain score. You can either click on the little title or on the circled box on the right.
There's a bunch of information on this page but only some of it is important. You click the radio button on the left to select which you want to bet for, obviously. The column I've put the box around is crucial, this is where you see the odds. You multiply it by the points you bet to see the points you get if you're correct. Also important is the bet points - this is how much you have available to bet with. You can bet however many points up to how many BP you have, but there are 4 options already available for easy betting. I'm going to bet 1000 to win 3210 on Tyler 3:1 Thorzain, so I put the radio button there and just click the 1000. A dialog box pops up, click OK to confirm.
If all went right, your page will look like this. The bet you made will have a red box around it. Also you somebody who's hidden both his name and his bet - in the above picture, I put the labels for the checkboxes for each option. You can check 0, 1, or 2 of the boxes and it'll only hide what you specify.
That should be everything, so happy betting and feel free to ask questions!
