It's people like that who disgust me and i hope you get caught
You caused damage to his Vehicle and you act like it wasn't your fault cause the car stalled. It is every bit your fault and you should take responsibility. How would you feel to come back to your vehicle and find that it was damaged and the person who hit your vehicle ran off like a coward.
Say they can pay for the damages. Sometimes after a claim an insurance will raise the coverage amount on that persons car not always but it does happen. If that happens now you just cost that person even more money per month that say they didnt really have/ but it's still more because someone didnt care about some else's possesion.
I had this happen to me last year to my New camaro i got 3 days earlier. had to pay for it on my own because my Deductable was $1000 and the damages totaled up to $400.

If you have insurance, you should have left your name and insurance info on their car. It's the right thing to do.

I've had this same thing done to me twice now. Fuck no am I paying if I accidentally do it someone else. That's karma for you, I guess.

Well i don't think you can find that guy again but do try to settle it... Imagine you walk out and some asshole put a dent in your car, how would you feel?

So a little while ago (weeks) I was working up in Baltimore Maryland at a client's office building.
couple hour long drive, goes well, I drive a Firebird and I loooove driving so it's all good. Get to the building, do my thing...takes a long time as I don't want to come back the next day so I put in a 16 hour day. Left home at 4 am and leaving the jobsite at 8:30pm. Keep in mind - my car is my baby. I love this thing and I'll probably cry when it finally has to be put down. :p
I will preface this by saying I parked decently. The car is wide as heck but I know how to park. So don't even go there.
I get outside from a really stressful day at work, and find that the front end of my car is fucked up. My driver side mirror is on the ground, the front fender looks like a freaking alligator got to it.
Shittiest feeling evuuuur.
While your fist-sized ding isn't quite that bad, it's really a day-ruiner when someone hits your car like this and doesn't leave a note.
Shame on you. And whoever told you not to leave a note..

Maybe it's more complicated than this but I really don't think cosmetics is as important as most people I guess. It absolutely is more complicated than that. By running you are effectively taking your problem, that you created yourself, and dumping it on someone else. Regardless of the financial aspect, which in itself is important, you are not taking responsibility for your own action. What he did epitomizes the character, or lack thereof, that both he and his father embody. I strongly disagree with characterizing a person based on one action, but it is downright embarrassing for a grown man to tell his son to run from a problem and consequently leave the burden with an absolute stranger.
On another note, Taengoo would be incredibly disappointed.
