The issue now is getting it from the US to Canada. There's so much crap involved, although in the end I'm almost assured it's straight forward. The problem that frightens me is that it must be clear of any soil? Wtf is that. THey say it's for contamination purposes but I mean, how clean does it really need to be? This is probably for trucks, trailers, wood chipper kind of vehicle perhaps not so relevant in my case.
The second issues I have is with RIV. They are the Registrar of Imported Vehicles. I have to pay them $200. They are a private corporation hired by the government of Canada. It's pissing me off that I have to pay these guys for "registering" the importation of my vehicle. I don't need the service, Canada does, let Canada pay for it no? I just need to move the bike across a line for heck sake and still get it safety tested/emissions anyway so whats the point?
Alright now the third issue. Will a 250R fit in a minivan? I have limited options for getting this vehicle here. It's a gift, so that's why I'm crossing the border in the first place. The last thing I want is to drive 8 hours and find out the bike doesn't fit haha.
ed: good going mods. buncha hijackers. ^^
