Awesome - I was thinking that it'd be good if you did an introduction post and then started off with some really basic tips/tricks for getting started such as how to choose a camera/lenses specifically for figures.

LOL My internet is being evil again, so I just made a really short video. I also got a Yui keychain from the K-On!! Mascot Sweets Rement collection, a Nyanpire phone strap from one of the gashapon machines, and a Nonno21 calendar as service.
I checked out about the items in the display closets, and it's only tagged items - so unfortunately none of the nendys except for a few puchis are available >.< (I pretty much expected this.) Sadly for me this means no Azunyan or Ricchan >.<
I had a pretty bad day at work, so it was a relief to go shopping.
Sweet! Such cute little ones. LOL I see you have all the figma K-On! girls. I was thinking of that full set for the W205,000 kit price, too. Nice extras with Ritsu.
I can identify with the "pretty bad day at work" statement very, very well. It was today that made me decide to leave after my contract expires in September! I was undecided before today's events. But, I'm tired of the same BS all the time.
I also made a list of what I want for the next few figures. It's a bit too many to buy!!! But, slowly, slowly if I can do it, I will eventually get there. Maybe.
What is the meaning of the filename after the character's name?
Unknown1 is Good Smile Company's Tsukamoto Tenma (School Rumble). There are two more figures in the series: Tsukamoto Yakumo (I like her figure way better) and Sawachika Eri.
Alter produced two swimsuit figures of School Rumble: Sawachika Eri and Suo Mikoto. You can say they are better done than Good Smile's (I considered GSC to be a tier below Alter and Max Factory back then).
Character Name; Scale; Release Date (Year/Month); Cost (Korean Won: ex., w55k=w55,000 which is about US$50)
It gives me an idea of age, cost and hence availability.
Thanks for the info on "unknown", too.
I put Alter, GSC and Max Factory at the top of all makers, too. I can't tell at this early stage of my collecting really who is the absolute best, though.
you should check out www.myfigurecollection.net it's really nice for keeping track of what you want to get, what you already have, etc. also the figure database is really handy for looking up figures. They also show if conterfeits exist.
My current ranking is Alter > GSC > Max Factory > Kotobukiya.
Before three years or four years ago it was Alter > Max Factory > GSC >> Kotobukiya.
GSC was a step behind Alter and MF (basically I considered them a more boring Alter), but really upped their quality starting 2008 or so. Kotobukiya was really lagging behind (but better than average) until sometime last year.
@fanta 1. That link seems not to work properly; it doesn't exist and keeps redirecting to a different page each time. 2. I have one Kotbukiya figure and she looks good. Maybe I got lucky with her.
@VManOfMana Yeah, I try and stick to Alter, GSC and MF as much as I can unless something is really, really, good from someone else. Some of my choices above in my list from other makers all depends on how they look in person when/if I actually see them.
@everyone - It's http://myfigurecollection.net/ :D I've been tootling around and it looks really useful. I'm hoping to work on the introduction and layout to Figure Maniacs Blog this weekend.
Also, I made a quick list for my new priority purchases based upon what they had in stock yesterday. This is all hopefully going to be bought on the 8th.
1. Kuroshitsuji Sebastian Nendoroid. 2. Dead Master Figma. 3. Yui Figma. 4. More puchis (K-on, Vocaloid, Haruhi, Lucky Star sets 1/2 and Fate/Stay Night.) 5. More Nyanpire gashapons. 6. More K-On Sweets Mascots. 7. Kirino Kousaka Nendoroid.
There are a few other bits, but nothing I'm 100% decided on yet. Including possibly a full box of Hetalia minis, and/or a full box of K-On!! puchis.
Also, Goodsmile just posted the BRS Strength figma. I actually want her more than the nendoroid!
I'll be holding back $200 for the potential Nonno21 flea market (I forgot to ask about it, but I'm going to ask on the 8th!) I think it will probably be held on the 23rd or the 30th. It looked like they had some good deals on Nendys that Nonno21 didn't have in stock, so I hope to pick up some bargains :D
I've decided not to collect any more Revoltech figures, or random minis (unless they're inescapably cute.) I don't want my collection to become too random. Hence I'm focusing on;
1. Nendoroids and puchis. 2. Figmas.
Series to focus on; K-On!!, Black Rock Shooter, Haruhi, Fate/Stay Night, Lucky Star, and Vocaloid.
I'll try to do that Saber/Ein shoot this weekend too if the weather holds out, and I have the energy!

In the pictures you posted of Nonno21, I saw that they have Nendoroid Racequeen Miku (longer box, includes Miku in racequeen outfit plus car). How much they were asking for it? Its a web site exclusive, so its likely to be more expensive, yet one of my favorite Mikus.
The bottom of the page says to wait a little while, and then they'll announce the details of the 5th flea market which is scheduled to happen during April XD. I can't wait!

I reckon it'll be on the 23rd or the 30th. I'm going to ask my co-worker to write a note asking in Korean how we can participate in the raffle. I think you just have to buy something from the flea market and then wait until the drawing at 5pm, but I'm not 100% sure.
P.S. I'm off to do that photo shoot today in the park. I'll take Saber, Ein, and a couple of other special guests.
