Today I played a PvP against a c player as only d+ myself.
+ Show Spoiler +
I start off at the top left and he at the bottom right.
He opens up with an 8 pylon scout and follows up with a 10/12 gateway
He scouts me faster than I do and he eventually manages to manner pylon me. I also went for a 1 gate tech
While his zealots make his way to my base, he attempts to make a pylon wall behind my mineral line for some cannon action.
But one thing I did was to steal his gas. To me, I thought since he has to commit all his zealots to my base, he wouldn't be able to spare 1 or 2 to take out his stolen gas and hence, he will be behind in tech for me to be teching ahead. way ahead
Somehow, he didn't manage to pylon wall me since my zealot was inside the wall so he just decides to make a cannon anyway.
He backs off and makes a zealot wall at my ramp and since he's got better positioning, I back off. Fortunately, my dragoons arrive shortly after.
I had gone for a DT drop of my own.
He had expanded himself and I attempted to break his defense.
Success! I also managed to take out his core and nat nexus shortly after.
My dts arrive to his base but he had detection at the front and managed to take out one of my dt.
But my shuttle was already on the way and since he didn't have cannons in his main, he typed out.
Was quite a fun game (Okay for some reason, photobucket didn't show the full size of the images Oh well)
Another thing that I've been up to was cooking. My mum got some really nice shrimps and fresh scallops from the market and I decided to cook up something.
+ Show Spoiler +
Prawns and scallops cook real fast so therefore, if left on the fire for just a little too long, they lose that nice tender and chewy texture. Its quite a slim point to reach so I didn't really have the time to take photos during the cooking process which took around 10 minutes. Really easy and nice to prepare.
Scallops
Nice prawns. I cook the heads as well because they give alot of flavour.
So I start by boiling the scallops for around 2 minutes in slightly salty water. You only put in the scallops in once the water boils. Don't put it in non-boiling water and wait for it to boil.
From here I don't have anymore pictures until the finished product so I'll just type out the steps.
While all that action is happening, I take just a little bit of rosemary and fry it in olive oil and bruise the rosemary to give the oil a nice fragrant flavour. Add in 3/4 teaspoon of salt in the oil.
I de-vein my prawns and toss in the scallops, the prawn heads and the prawns in the frying pan with the fragranted oil. Here's the tricky part. You have to know when is the right moment to take all of those out.
You squash the prawn heads with your spatula to bring out the brains(). After around 4 minutes of frying under low heat, I remove everything from the pan except the oil and put the prawns and stuff on some tissue to remove the excess oil.
Next I turn the heat on real high for around 1 minute then shut it off. I put in garlic for around 30 seconds and garnish over the prawns and stuff. I also put in some dill, chopped coriander leaves and a little bit of grounded black peppercorn. And we have
You can eat the entire thing with all the garnish, garlic and dill. I found it to be extraordinarily pleasing. Hope you guys enjoyed this and Happy New Year!
EDIT: The images are back to size now woot.
