So the lovely joy and flavor of Halloween brought me to take part in a traditional Halloween festivity--carving pumpkins.
It was great and all, but being the klutz that I am with sharp objects, I managed to slice my hand pretty badly right below the base of my index finger.
This was about a week ago, and my wound is finally closed enough that it won't shoot out blood whenever I stretch my hand up to a certain point. After not using it at all for a week, and not playing Starcraft or typing at all with my left hand, I feel real muscularly out of it with my left hand.
Does anyone have any tips for strengthening your hands aside from those guitar squeezers/things of that nature? Do stress balls work, or is there some simple exercise that is most effective (fingertip push ups, perhaps)?
Off topic, how do you feel about the Razer DeathAdder? Recommended or not?

The deathadder is alright I guess.
I recommend the Salmosa too if you haven't looked into it yet.

Worth it. So worth it. (Especially because it wasn't my hand.)
No experience with hand injuries, sorry. I did break my ulna (arm bone) once. I just started using it normally as much as the (diminishing) pain allowed me to, and it's fine now. You have damage to muscle tissue I guess? That's a whole different dog.
I got a free SteelSeries Kinzu from Heen (he got it as a Korea Dota League prize). It works fine for FPS games and dota, as far as I can tell. It won't do well on rougher surfaces (like a wood bar), because it tracks all of the bumps in the wood and makes your mouse move in unintended directions. It works perfectly on a mousepad.

I recommend the Imperator.
As for strengthening, just keep spamming APM and you'll be back to normal in no time~

I don't think he ever claimed it was... just kinda implied-ish...
Dunno about hand injuries... but you could always just play for extended periods until it gets back into shape...
