Ok. So i jump on my regualr bus at the downtown terminal. There is about 25 people on the bus. There are really only three people that matter in this story. A- The portly man who was drunk B- The woman sitting in front of A C- The bus driver.
Ok. The bus leaves the terminal, everything is normal. A few streets into the bus route, the A starts coughing in B's hair. Most of the people on the bus assume hes just sick or something, but he starts laughing when B starts to get annoyed. B asks A if he thinks coughing in her hair is funny, and tells the bus driver, C, to kick him off the bus. The bus driver tells him to stop or he will call his supervisor/the police to remove him. So B stops. B then moves from her seat, and sits behind me. She starts talking to a woman behind me about "how tht fucker should be kicked off the bus" and how she needs to wash her hair again. So we go through about a quarter of the route, and B starts to move to the front of the bus again. As B is passing through the aisle of the bus, A says to her "Hey, you can sit with me". B quickly responds with "fuck off, and more whining to the driver. The driver starts to call his supervisor, but he is busy so he gives A one more chance. Eventually B gets off the bus, and a bit later I do as well.
Now this is where you come in, Who do you think is worse in this situation, A for being drunk and harrassing the woman, or B for overreacting to the Drunk's comments (he is drunk, he hs little/no control over what he says/does) and insiting he is kicked off the bus.
Most of you are probably going to say A, but think to yourself.

Just because a person is drunk it doesn't excuse their actions... they should still be liable for the shit they pull...

This story has nothing really special IMO, shits like that happend every day.
|
I'm assuming A did it to purposely harass B from the description, in which case it's completely A's fault. I think B's reaction is a side issue that should be considered separately, but yea she sounds like a drama queen.

All in a days... day. I hate douches who don't cover when coughing - been coughed on; I just give asian death stares. :3

As part of the hivemind, I must go and vote the option that you did not specify, i.e. you.
Obviously A is at fault here - you're responsible for your actions even if you're drunk. Why else would people be charged for drunk driving?

I only put me up there if you feel i am the worst for A, sharing this with the internet and B, thinking some of the stuff was funny

I live in Edmonton Alberta, and our public transit system is horrid. There are constantly drunk/disorderly people on the buses (90% of the time its the downtown buses/inner core). I have personally witnessed many scenes go down. If I were the woman, I would think twice before getting into an argument with someone drunk on the bus. Most times, these people are loose cannons, and are fully willing to get physical with whoever they wish. Too many times I have seen someone speak up about something, whether its because the person is drunk/loud or acting dumb, and then have that person turn around and punch/threaten/spit on the passanger, if not more.
Just last year one of the bus drivers was pulled off the bus by a rowdy patron, thrown into the street, and stomped in his face 13 times. He barely survived.

Oh, well that stuff doesn't happen too often here.
It seems the things that happen in my life that are different are the normal day lives of other people on this forum. Hmm
|
boring but you asked for it.
You, cause even you leave in Canada and I heard that nobody cares in situations like this you should do something because next time it can go worst and you will still just sit there and do nothing and thats not right

Did i mention I am a 17 year old kid with no upper body strength and wouldn't stand a chance against the drunk in a fight?

Honestly I would have stayed on the bus to see what was going to happen

How is a woman telling a drunk who is harassing her to "fuck off" being a drama queen? He's lucky that's all he got.
|
sounds like my bus rides in here where i live. except the drunk guy usually plays some kind of instrument (usually accordion, guitar or something similar) and keeps people entertained.
tho, usually it ends when in this case, person b, the bus driver actually gets fed up with the non-stop playing and singing and throws him out or calls the cops. so there is something in common in our stories.
but anyway, welcome to Finland.

Its not that she told him to fuck off, its that she overreacted to something that didn't have to be a big deal. She could have just moved to the back of the bus at the start of the ride, and ignored the drunk guy when he made comments. She should have had more self control, and stayed calm. Plus the fact that she constantly told the bus driver to kick him out, even though the driver didn't have direct permission.

Easily A. It's one thing to be a drama queen and overreact, but when you've got some drunk guy harassing you and coughing in your hair and stuff that's beyond ethical.

Not as cool as the time my bus driver ran someone over.
But yeah, public transit blows. Clearly A and B are both morons. But not really. Maybe B has a shitty immune system or is a hypochondriac or something.

bullshit i don't buy the excuse that drunk people can't control their actions they just use it as an excuse to do shit they wouldn't otherwise do because they're pussies, but they're fully aware of doing it and the consequences (they are just in the process of not giving a fuck)
edit: so to clarify, A.
B didn't even overreact, i'm not sure how moving away from a guy that smells like cheap scotch (imagination license ) , telling him to fuck off and asking him to be kicked off the bus for harassment is an overreaction at all
