And twice tonight I already lost to 5 roach rush and 3 rax, the 5RR because I grabbed my sentry like 2 seconds late and they were already all up my ramp and killing my stalker. Similar with the 3 rax it was delayed a little so I was trying to expand and so I retreated and went to make more units and he came up the ramp when I wasn't paying attention there.
I don't know how to build this multitasking focus that makes me stop doing this. Or I macro fine, until I notice his army moving out, and then I forget to make important units cause I'm too busy setting up my position (this happens more as zerg cause it's forgetting to larva vomit when he's coming for me that's huge). And I feel like I haven't gotten any faster in months (I'm like 80 sc2 apm over a game in a hectic one).
Here's an example (the game I described first) where I feel like speed/multitask holds me back more than anything else (and it was a very passive game at that, he turtles a lot with siege tanks). I mean I know there were a couple forgotten pylons, and my robo was later than I meant and my templar tech was way too late, but mainly once I grew myself that big I had trouble keeping up with everything, my money was high and I didn't control my army at the same time.
Anyone have any advice on how to improve that? I feel like I've been at basically the same skill in terms of this for a couple months now (my apm has not gone up) although I'm improving based on game knowledge and analysis quite a lot.
