I've always wondered what it'd be like to get high. I have quite a few friends who get high regularly and I really don't see any problems with the way they act in anyway. So I was like "hey, why I don't I give it a try."
So I tried it. It was good, I think, I honestly don't know. I tried to imagine what getting high would be like, but you could never know unless you actually try it. It was like... hmmm.... I just don't know how to describe it. But I can describe what I was doing during the peak of the high. We were watching Grandma's Boy and eating KFC at the same time. For me it was really hard to focus on the 2 things at once. If I turned my eyes to the movie, it felt like I was being sucked in. Like I was right there in the movie, and I was like "this is the funniest thing in the world". But I would feel hungry and turn back to my chicken. My chicken looked so amazing. I ate it as if I hadn't eaten anything in weeks. In the end I ate 2 Breasts and 3 wings plus a bucket of coleslaw. But I remember eating the food with a lot of intensity. The moment I laid eyes on the chicken I just couldn't control how much I wanted to tear it apart with my teeth and eat it.
So basically it was like whatever I had my attention on, I gave it my utmost attention with a lot of focus and concentration.
Then we played Starcraft 2. When I was making drones in the beginning, I had that same sensation with the chicken. I felt so good making drones. Making drones seemed like such an accomplishment. Somehow I managed to stick to a decent build order. I remember making zerglings, but what I really wanted was Ultras. I haven't watched the replay of the game I was high in yet, but I think this is how it went.
It was a 2v2,so I started out with my 14p15h(Zerg). We scouted a 2 gate and 2 fast barracks. If I recall correctly they pushed us early. It was all zealots and marines. So using my brain I knew banelings would be a good idea. I wanted to make them but then I got caught up just thinking about how great the are against marines and zealots. I think my partner somehow managed to defend the push. I just kept making zerglings, and when it safe I started droning up really hard. From there on I can only remember the images of Ultralisks moving around on my screen, but I really don't think I made any... But I do remember having a bunch of zerglings in my opponents base and I kept typing /dance to have them breakdance. Well when I get back home today I'll upload the replay for anyone interested to see how a person under the influence plays SC2.
Hmm so what do I think of the whole experience? I just don't know. It was "good"- yet I don't know how it was good. I wouldn't mind doing it again. But it's not like something I would go crazy over. Getting high really is just getting high, nothing special about it, its just getting high. Before I used to dislike the idea of getting high, because of all the annoying people who would get high and when they weren't high they would constantly brag on about the stuff they smoke and how they want to get high while doing random things. But really I think the legitimate people who like to get high, like my friends, just treat it like a nice way to mellow out or w/e- which I find to be very respectable.... I don't know.
Does being high have any side effects or after effects? Because right now as I type this post, I feel unusually mellow and chill. lol

I tried weed/cig at the same party one time (already drunk though) and i FUCKING HATED the feeling of smoking..so I swore off of smoking anything forever!

I love cannabis, everything about it to me is a miracle. Wait till you try hashish, you will be transported into another world.
Also be careful when being high in a situation you're not comfortable with, its just not fun.. well I guess it makes sense that not being comfortable would not be fun...
edit- megalisk, you should try smoking without drinking, its very fun and can open doors you never knew of.

Side effects & after effects you already described yourself: Muscle relaxation, loss of concentration, perception & mood changes.
You can get personality disorders, but that depends on the individual and is highly unlikely (though not unheard of - i know of 1 guy who got mentally ill because of mayor weed abuse).

I lol'd. This is a really cute story. Being high, like you said, is just being high.
No real side effects cept a bit groggy feeling sometimes.

Well there is a side effect for me, I get terrible headaches. It honestly makes it difficult to enjoy and I have not met anyone else with this problem so I haven't been able to resolve it.
It's underwhelming after a while, the feeling, but I honestly think it's best purpose is to make an already good situation that much better. Smoking weed is meh for me, but doing it with people I really like is amazing.

First time I got high, I was quite drunk, so it wasn't the best of experiences. Mostly sat holding onto the couch armrest until I eventually fell asleep.

The more you do it, and the more comfortable you get with it, the more fun it will be. I'm glad you had a good first experience, a lot of the people who don't smoke are just people who had a bad experience their first time. (see above). Whenever you get around to doing it again, the curiosity factor of "i wonder what being high will be like" will be gone, so you'll be free to enjoy yourself.
It's also more fun when you have a plan set out (not a concrete plan, but like a general guideline so you don't end up sitting around and watching tv/eating food). Personally I love exploring the wilderness high, or just being outside with like a campfire or something. Going to the movies high is great, I went and saw Avatar high and I really enjoyed it but I have no idea what that movie is about. It's like the super version of sitting around and watching tv/eating food.

I think I did a really really good job at being careful while driving. I was driving pretty slow. It'd probably be another story if I was on the highway, but I really took my time while I drove.

Yeah it's not as severe as being drunk, but it still does reduce your ability to drive. If you get pulled over (which can happen even if you do nothing wrong) you can get screwed also. If you end up involved in or witnessing a dangerous situation while high, it could impair your ability to react in the way you would if you weren't high. Driving is dangerous enough when we aren't under the influence of anything.
