EDIT: Here's the replay of the game me and my friend were baked as we played. It's worth the watch especially from my First Person View lol. Some really funny stuff.
I've always wondered what it'd be like to get high. I have quite a few friends who get high regularly and I really don't see any problems with the way they act in anyway. So I was like "hey, why I don't I give it a try."
So I tried it. It was good, I think, I honestly don't know. I tried to imagine what getting high would be like, but you could never know unless you actually try it. It was like... hmmm.... I just don't know how to describe it. But I can describe what I was doing during the peak of the high. We were watching Grandma's Boy and eating KFC at the same time. For me it was really hard to focus on the 2 things at once. If I turned my eyes to the movie, it felt like I was being sucked in. Like I was right there in the movie, and I was like "this is the funniest thing in the world". But I would feel hungry and turn back to my chicken. My chicken looked so amazing. I ate it as if I hadn't eaten anything in weeks. In the end I ate 2 Breasts and 3 wings plus a bucket of coleslaw. But I remember eating the food with a lot of intensity. The moment I laid eyes on the chicken I just couldn't control how much I wanted to tear it apart with my teeth and eat it.
So basically it was like whatever I had my attention on, I gave it my utmost attention with a lot of focus and concentration.
Then we played Starcraft 2. When I was making drones in the beginning, I had that same sensation with the chicken. I felt so good making drones. Making drones seemed like such an accomplishment. Somehow I managed to stick to a decent build order. I remember making zerglings, but what I really wanted was Ultras. I haven't watched the replay of the game I was high in yet, but I think this is how it went.
It was a 2v2,so I started out with my 14p15h(Zerg). We scouted a 2 gate and 2 fast barracks. If I recall correctly they pushed us early. It was all zealots and marines. So using my brain I knew banelings would be a good idea. I wanted to make them but then I got caught up just thinking about how great the are against marines and zealots. I think my partner somehow managed to defend the push. I just kept making zerglings, and when it safe I started droning up really hard. From there on I can only remember the images of Ultralisks moving around on my screen, but I really don't think I made any... But I do remember having a bunch of zerglings in my opponents base and I kept typing /dance to have them breakdance. Well when I get back home today I'll upload the replay for anyone interested to see how a person under the influence plays SC2.
Hmm so what do I think of the whole experience? I just don't know. It was "good"- yet I don't know how it was good. I wouldn't mind doing it again. But it's not like something I would go crazy over. Getting high really is just getting high, nothing special about it, its just getting high. Before I used to dislike the idea of getting high, because of all the annoying people who would get high and when they weren't high they would constantly brag on about the stuff they smoke and how they want to get high while doing random things. But really I think the legitimate people who like to get high, like my friends, just treat it like a nice way to mellow out or w/e- which I find to be very respectable.... I don't know.
Does being high have any side effects or after effects? Because right now as I type this post, I feel unusually mellow and chill. lol
I tried weed/cig at the same party one time (already drunk though) and i FUCKING HATED the feeling of smoking..so I swore off of smoking anything forever!
I love cannabis, everything about it to me is a miracle. Wait till you try hashish, you will be transported into another world.
Also be careful when being high in a situation you're not comfortable with, its just not fun.. well I guess it makes sense that not being comfortable would not be fun...
edit- megalisk, you should try smoking without drinking, its very fun and can open doors you never knew of.

So you smoked weed? Side effects & after effects you already described yourself: Muscle relaxation, loss of concentration, perception & mood changes. You can get personality disorders, but that depends on the individual and is highly unlikely (though not unheard of - i know of 1 guy who got mentally ill because of mayor weed abuse).
Well there is a side effect for me, I get terrible headaches. It honestly makes it difficult to enjoy and I have not met anyone else with this problem so I haven't been able to resolve it.
It's underwhelming after a while, the feeling, but I honestly think it's best purpose is to make an already good situation that much better. Smoking weed is meh for me, but doing it with people I really like is amazing.
First time I got high, I was quite drunk, so it wasn't the best of experiences. Mostly sat holding onto the couch armrest until I eventually fell asleep.
The more you do it, and the more comfortable you get with it, the more fun it will be. I'm glad you had a good first experience, a lot of the people who don't smoke are just people who had a bad experience their first time. (see above). Whenever you get around to doing it again, the curiosity factor of "i wonder what being high will be like" will be gone, so you'll be free to enjoy yourself.
It's also more fun when you have a plan set out (not a concrete plan, but like a general guideline so you don't end up sitting around and watching tv/eating food). Personally I love exploring the wilderness high, or just being outside with like a campfire or something. Going to the movies high is great, I went and saw Avatar high and I really enjoyed it but I have no idea what that movie is about. It's like the super version of sitting around and watching tv/eating food.

I think I did a really really good job at being careful while driving. I was driving pretty slow. It'd probably be another story if I was on the highway, but I really took my time while I drove.

I think I did a really really good job at being careful while driving. I was driving pretty slow. It'd probably be another story if I was on the highway, but I really took my time while I drove.

If you end up involved in or witnessing a dangerous situation while high, it could impair your ability to react in the way you would if you weren't high. Driving is dangerous enough when we aren't under the influence of anything.
yeah if you gatting has to in a relaxed place... with my just weed exp, i'll say the funiest tibk was onetime when i felt my face to fall... it was like it was made of some plastic stuff, i dont know like latex so i felt it was falling fluidly..... idk

I hope you've smoked before, I and everyone i know who smokes maintain that smoking makes you a better driver, or at least doesn't reduce your skill. I've never met anyone for whom getting high was a problem for driving, unless you just smoked 26 blunts to the face in which case how did you even get off the couch?

Wait.... people play starcraft sober?! but seriously theres nothing better than coming back home after being high and getting some sc in. you're absolutely terrible but losing doesnt matter and its a blast.

Well there arent any side effects really. Sometimes you feel sick because you ate too much or dehydrated. But yeah usually the next day i'm pretty chill (probably because you had no stress the day before haha)
yeah, in 20 years your brain will have had so much wrong stimulance that it will get confused about what is wrong and right here. And then you will get brain deseases like Schizophrenia, paranoia and the likes.

Nice blog! When I get high I'm not one of those super mellow stoners. But every pleasure, every sensation is multiplied by 10 for me and things become INTENSE. If I could describe what it feels like to eat while I'm high I would say that it would be like me coming in my own mouth.
When I tried playing starcraft stoned, I actually felt tactile pleasure from mashing keyboard. It felt like the keys were tickling my fingers.
Next step for you is to have stoned sex. Basically when you're high your entire BODY turns into a giant dick. And when you get off, your entire body explodes in an eruption of pleasure.
My only warning is don't do it every day (especially multiple times) and don't do it when you're depressed. At least for me when I went on a two week bender my mind really started to become hazy and I couldn't think straight. And that's especially true when you're depressed and smoking weed. Nothing will get solved.
Your first time will not be a good experience, buy some expensive weed next time and smoke it with an experienced smoker. So, that if you don't know how to inhale or rip a bong he will teach you.
Man, being high is really great feeling, especially when you have fun stuff to do (playing games, listening to music, watching movies, chilling with friends. The problem comes when you get to uncomfortable situation, you might be freaking out. The only side effect it has for me is that i seem to think a lot and focus on things that my brain seems overheated and tired next day, which results in being impassive and basically not caring about anything too much (only next day). For instance when i was at school, i sometime just skipped morning classes cause i got high last night and didn't care.
Also from my personal experience, smoking influences everyone differently. It is really individual stuff and one should consider pros and cons for himself and do not listen what everybody else says. Also more happy you are before getting high results into bigger happines when stoned. If you feel crappy, because of some serious problem - you shouldn't smoke, cause it will make you feel even worse.
Last time I got high, I got thrown out of a Wawa (Convenience store from the north-east coast of America) for not wearing any pants. I really needed snacks. And cigars.
My advice is try some different kinds of weed, try some mostly sativa and some mostly indica strains and figure out what you like best, the mental part or the physical part.
honestly I barely ever play SC2 "not" high.. lol... being high makes playing games like 20x more fun... plus I think I play better when I'm stoned.. crazy as that sounds

You could see a TV add of yummy hambergers with your roommate while smoking. Since you're a stoner who always eat the same delivery food over and over, you decide to drive there to get some burgers. But you throw your weed through the car window because you broke the toll barrier and go to the campus to get some more. Then you meet girls who make a farting contest, and some wankers who do kayaking in a groceries store. But first meet Neil Patrick Harris and this bastard steals your car, so you have to ride a cheetah instead. Finally some cops bust your ass but you escape by hang-gliding from a cliff directly to the fast food you've been looking for for the whole night.

I just uploaded a replay of me and my friend on that day when I got high for the first time. It's pretty funny seeing what it could do to you lol. My APM was basically slashed in half, and a ton of other weird crap happened. I recommend watching from my First Person View lol.

Driving high is not worth it if there is even the remotest chance a police car will pass you. You may be going 5kph so won't actually hurt anyone, but you will still get a DUI which means a ban from driving for at least 6 months and a fine of $250 or more.

I specifically said earlier in the thread it's not as bad as driving around drunk.
I miss it, I'd reserve one Saturday every couple of months during summer we'd get about 4 of us, sit in backyard or float around in the pool. We'd usually nominate the girls to make Bacardi or vodka mixers, basically something light and the boys would make the food. That was a sweet deal as we'd only have to cook once maybe twice while we'd always need refills.
It's really awesome sitting in a circle just talking for hours. We'd then fall asleep in the afternoon watching TV and wake up Sunday afternoon.
I honestly just don't have enough spare time in my life to do that anymore, you need to put aside 2 days for it, although the experience and relaxation is well worth it.
They have done studies that show that driving while high isn't very dangerous because smokers most often compensate for their lack of reflexes by driving slower and more cautious.
My philosophy teacher at college used to say that driving while high just "took some getting used to" which is kind of ironic considering he was pro marijuana even though the school took such a hard stance against it.
