Oh what a big thing to blog about. I won a game. Lol, no guys there is more to it than just "a win". This was something i had to do, this was about getting my TL respect back. Do you remeber the thread: a valid defence against mutas harashment ?
First though this was not an easy game. With a 3hatch hydra opening with lurkers, i was sure sent in for a rough ride
And my defenses could not hold. However zerg took casualities.
But since my field army was at my 3rd i could launch a counter, which didnt kill much
But my attack proved to be strong enough to kill his hydra den
ahaha the building you all have been waiting for. the arbiter tribunal - time to launch the cheesyplay
aaah it was with the edge of his nails he managed to kill my nat - what a shame
4 min later.
ahahahhaaaa recalluuuuuuu - Hydra den, im coming for you!
:D so i kill it and he quickly rebuilds it, but for no prevail haha
So guy thought he could stop my probes by using lurkerharash. Which is a valid thought since i lost my robofacility (it was in my nat) and i had no observers. However someone had forgot to tell him that arbiter > lurker.
So zerg launch an attack to my south and this is valid since protoss army is in nat
And if you know how much i had there, then it seems like the south would be lost the endless numbers of zerglings coming
Aaah but allas someone had once again forgot to tell him that arbiter can just recall army lol
So guy thinks, well since his army is to the south, i can just attack nat. Which is a valid thought, but once again with simply means im able to kill a lot of his units before the 2 canons falls.
and he kills my nat again but i wonder why protoss focus fire the overlord xD
But wait what is this? MUTAS?? hahahaha this is what i had been waiting for the whole game. hahah Now i can finally use the full potential of my strategy
Ahahaha you really think im scared of your mutas?
Mutas ... fixed overlord ... will be fixed hatchery ... will be fixed lurker ... leave it alone
hahaha mutas ,, why ,, they die so fast xD hahah
But all of this doesnt make this thread. It is the next picture that makes this thread complete and above all will ensure all doubts to go away. What if he had killed my probes with his mutas? + Show Spoiler +
One time in a CSL match I used 1 arbiter around the 15 minute mark to move my army (which was trapped by a wall of lurker at the Zerg's third on HBR) with the arbiter patrolling over it. I walked over ~5 lurkers with no units lost. That is when I Realized the true power of PvZ arbiter. I had no obs for like 20 minutes but it didn't matter :D
There was this pro game where some Z tried to 2hatch hydra Stork on (I think) Eye of the Storm and after he failed he kept trying to do these cute 3cm drops. Stork got arbs that game because he knew his 2base was so ahead. Anyone remember this? The best part was when the camera zoomed in on Stork after one of the failed drops and he was laughing during the game... what a baller.
Awesome game! I remember when I used to experiment with Arbiters in PvZ at the D level (highest I ever got) and found it worked wonder when pushing with some corsairs (mass clocked army ftw!). But I love this more defensive style to protect the bases, completely nullifies harass while leaving you the option of warping in a big army in case of an attack.
Now if only StarCraft II had a unit like that for Protoss...
OHHH so thats what stork was thinking? wooo stork!... naa kidding really good to have done that... im sooo happy this wasnt a Sc2 ZvT thread thank god! hope to see this one day in Proleague or the OSL/MSL...
ohh and the one who asked for the game it was against kwanro who was slowdroping all inning against stork who took it like a pro and then pummeled him he even laughed at that.. some say cause stork only praticed against all ins.. well if you are playing against kwanro you should..
wow holy crap! that was a great battle report. I have had arbiters used against me in some pvzs, however it is really not that common. The game was really a back and forth nail biter, and thanks for sharing.
glad that you can finally feel vindicated for your awesome muta defense strat lol- who knew that some thing so seeming stupid could help you pull of a win!
The arbiter just appeared so naturally in the game you just described I was wondering what was so special about this game that you would need to blog about it spite of you showing the arbiter like hundred times or something

Man, the standard really improved a lot since then. Every year you think "ok, that's it, starcraft players can't get any better" and then they seem to double in skill in three years. This is strange since human brain processing doesn't really follow moore's law. It makes you wonder when players will be the very best.
Haha, I always enjoy watching good games through some writing + pictures It's like reading a comic book or something. Def kept me entertained. I especially liked it when you started being really cocky (it was a good/HILARIOUS thing in this case) and be all like HAHAHA, made me haha too
