Yeah that's what I get from the tattoo. Love magic resolve, two words each going from top to bottom.
|
^ if that's what it really means, she can take solace in knowing that most people won't know what it means.

Hey, could always be worse I guess. Thats why I think getting those kind of tattoos is sketchy unless you speak the language they could be writing I love dick on yopur arm or something.

I was going to propose her after reading this... Then I read the real translation.
Love magic resolve? Maybe those words together have some "chinese only" meaning? Because it doesn't make any sense to me.
Edit: ^ Maybe I will go with her next time and pay the tattoo guy to write "I love cock" in her back. :D

I get shirts from my grandparents (Chinese) saying "AWGFOPQEGNAVOAE" (literally). This might be the Western equivalent of Chinese fraud lol.

Even google translate says that 愛情魔法決心 means Love Magic determination

It's the chant to summon the Chinese captain planet. Seems pretty deep to me.

It probably doesn't mean anything; the tattoo artist was just sticking a bunch of characters together so that it looks cool to non-chinese/japanese.
Although in Chinese, people do often string a bunch of characters together and it gains a meaning larger than the sum of its parts. I doubt this tattoo is like that though. Although you could bs it and tell people "first two characters mean love, next 2 mean magic, last 2 mean determination. together it means....." ok I couldn't come up with anything because it really does not make sense.

I've met this one "russian chinese" (that's what locals call them, in reality they are from either Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan), she had some tats on her body. I asked her what the big word on her leg meant and she said she doesn't remember, "it is either chinese or japanese". Was weird to hear from an asian, at least that much she could've known.
|
I can't believe people still allow people to give them tattoos with Asian characters on them, without knowing exactly what they mean... Also, since I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, the image on the left is the proper orientation.

Well from this picture I don't think that the tattoo guy knows what it means neither xD

I suppose it meant to say that love is magical but you know probably got the characters from Google/Yahoo Babelfish
|
No he is not. Or a least he is not yet.
|
ah sorry its probably just the different look and texture of skin from your culture on that specific guy along with the very small portion of his face being visible that made me think that.

爱情 = Love 魔法 = Magic 决心 = Determination/Resolve
It's pretty clearcut what they mean. Don't see how you spin it in any other way.
