I just graduated from Rutgers University in May, with a bachelors degree in mathematics, (I majored in math and double-minored in education and psychology, and in one year I'll have a masters in mathematics education), and as a graduation gift for me... my girlfriend bought herself StarCraft 1 (the entire battlechest). So now I get to teach her how to play Brood War so we can team up against my friends Most importantly, she goes to college far away, and we're not able to visit each other often during the school year... and playing StarCraft with her every night is a heck of a lot more appealing than those hour-long phone calls...
She's been busy with her own classes, so she finally had a chance to install the games yesterday. Last night, she said those 8 little words that every real man wants to hear: "Wanna come up with a username for me?"
My girlfriend's name is Andrea, so I immediately thought "kerrigandrea", meshing "kerrigan" and "andrea" together... but I have no idea if Andrea will play Zerg (I certainly hope not... I play as Protoss), and she has no idea who Kerrigan is anyway. But if anyone wants to help me come up with an awesome username for her... she wants it to be somewhat relevant to her traits: she plays tennis, is studying to become a vet, and also sings/dances.
Oh StarCraft, I love how you provide me with a solution to long-term relationship troubles. (I'm wondering when to introduce Andrea to SC2 as well...)
Thanks for reading, guys

Btw its awesome that your gf got sc but try getting her into sc2. Its alot more enjoyable for casuals i think

aw man thats so awesome. congrats. its great to share something you're so passionate about with someone else. in a perfect world everyone would play starcraft together!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback
I'm obviously not going to waste the time we have together with StarCraft (sex is indeed an interactive thing ), but when we're apart (which is, sadly, far too often), StarCraft seems to be about as good an option as humanly possible!

Give her an androgynous name that still special and personal for her, so she doesn't get trolled by guys and stalked, but can still have a great time bonding with you.

Good call... apparently, a lot of StarCrafters are sexually frustrated little boys :-/

EDIT: She found this hilarious, but I don't think I want to give her any more of these idea...

I recommend staying away from usernames that indicate she's female. Or, give her a username to match yours. Something cute like "Mr_and" and "Mrs_Smith".

ANDROMINATOR, all caps so it looks like she's 30 ft tall IRL
also it would be an anagram for one of drone's old nicknames so she would have that going on too

I'm definitely gonna start her up on SC1 (probably those fastest money maps) because I think it'll be easier for her to learn. Plus, I'm a lot better at BW than SC2, so we could hold our own against other teams a lot easier!

I recommend women in real life, and then persuade them to play with you

I never want it to be long or anything. Tabris is the Angel of free will so thats how i got this one. Just make it simple. I like the Mr. and Ms.
All great men have simple IDs-Nony, Idra, Ret, Chill, ect

I also greatly prefer simple and unique! nttea is a great nick but sorry it's already taken! ANDROMINATOR is pretty clever (from eriador/drone/RANDOMINATOR)

That is the best Gf ever..!!!
