I just played this korean guy today in PvP and I thought that it was a really great match with quite alot of action(or at least to me I think it was quite intense) We're both D leveled players so we have bad macro and our game management was quite bad.. with me being pretty bad at some point.. forgetting to research storm etc.

Just a brief description, it was standard play into low econ to the point where we were both mining out on our last base.

Anyways, it was a game that I played in the D tourny on ICC so yeah if anyone cares.. here's the rep!
REPPP

The game is played on D level so its quite bad but just thought I'd share.

I haven't watched the game yet, but just looked at it in bwchart, judging by what I saw in there you were a way better player than him He used almost no control groups, i think it said he only used the number 1, where you had used a few. You had way higher APM, but I guess he maybe played a little smarter because he had more resources than you. I will watch in a bit and edit with thoughts.

Pretty entertaining game!

I think people REALLY underestimate how good some solid D players are. People who play on KOR time on non python maps, can actually be quite skillful.

if they are skillful why are they D?
unless you mean they don't have enough games or something (ie. 5-1)

I just think that people who range from D - D+ playing on KOR time deserve more credit.

Plus with the ladder resets and smurfs it can be tricky. Though i suppose if they play enough games( 30 or so), they would move up to at least D+ with the ladder inflation.

Ok I just watched this replay. And sure from a spectators standpoint it was exciting, but from a players standpoint it should have been a lot better. You you wanted to take your 3rd super super late, and then ended up not building in favor of more units, doing this you mined out completely with just enough for another nexus. So now imagine if he had just a few more units, you wouldn't have been able to build any more and he would. You were very lucky to win this. If you want to smooth out your play and get higher in the ladder I would suggest trying to not be so super aggressive all the time. Multiple times you just charged right into his base only to lose all of your units and you just kept rallying units there. Once you push up to his nat there is no problem just containing him and expanding and just building a bigger advantage. There is no reason you need to end things right away. With that first reaver you could have just kept him contained for a long time and got your 3rd up and have it be super super safe, but instead you charged in there with it and lost it.

Ya. I actually played out that game and I knew that I should have done alot of things that I shouldn't have. I shouldn't have lost that shuttle + RVR and should have collected more units before I attacked.

It totally depends on the spectators own skill. It might look solid to you but not everyone.

I also played a pretty fun PvP on FS yesterday. I had 10 minutes to the OSL Day 4, so I decided to try to end it quick. Since he didn't follow my probe, I just built 2 gateways inside his main, then went for speed. He also went for a lot of zealots, and broke inside my main as my speed finished, but I was able to beat him after my DT's popped.
Not the best of strategies but it was pretty interesting.
If you are not Bisu, chances are I hate you.
