So I recently bought a pair of these:
and I love them. They are super comfortable and running in them feels great.
I am wondering if anyone here on TL has more experience with them. I want to try playing racquetball in them and I am not sure if its safe. My concern is that the constant pivoting and lateral movement might be to much for the shoes to handle and I will either tear the shoe or injure my ankle/knee/ect. I would prefer to avoid both as I have already had two knee surgeries and these shoes aren't the cheapest =P
I do highly recommend them though soooo comfy.

I did some pretty in depth searching and found this -- its a Five Fingers forum that didn't show up in google for me ><
The people in the thread report that racquetball felt fine to them despite them also being worried about injuries. Although I assume these people have been using these shoes for quite some time and have much stronger muscles in their lower legs as these shoes are meant to simulate barefoot exercise which naturally strengthens your feet and ankles.
So yea basically answered my own question now but thought I'd throw this in for anyone who might be interested.

Everyone I know with a pair loves them. I think I'm going to put them on my Christmas list this year 'cause I'm used to $40 k-mart specials on sneakers for weekend use and just can't see the price myself

Highly recommend.
the only thing with barefoot running or shoes that simulate barefoot running is that you need to be careful of going low volume with running and activities like that at first because padded shoes absorb a lot of the force that is now going to go to your muscles. Thus, if you're not careful to build up volume really slowly it's very easy to develop overuse injuries such as shin splints, achiles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, etc.
If you're going to run with them I would start out with < 200-400m per day on grass and then build up slowly from there. You wouldn't randomly workout by doing hundreds of a new exercise so why would you do more than that many strides per workout (400m / 2 feet = 200 / 2m per stride = 100 strides per feet approximately running/jogging.
