Since Terran is the first game to be released, clearly the single player mission at the end of "Wings of Liberty" will end with a Terran win. As an aside, I like the idea that the terran army will fight a combined zerg and protoss force as a possibility. But the Terrans won't win in the next games, because other races will be the featured single player game. My uninformed guess is that Protoss and then Zerg will be released, indicating that Zerg will win in the end. | ||

The StarCraft II Trilogy consists of the base StarCraft II game and two subsequent expansion sets. StarCraft II is subtitled Wings of Liberty (working title) and will include a lengthy single-player campaign that focuses on the terrans and puts players in the role of Jim Raynor, one of the series' main heroes. The first expansion set, Heart of the Swarm (working title), will follow later and include a single-player campaign focusing on the zerg and Kerrigan, Queen of Blades. The second expansion set, Legacy of the Void (working title), will continue the story experience with a single-player campaign centered on the protoss. So the Protoss campaign is coming out last. Still though, that doesn't mean that the Protoss will "win." It could end with something like you (as Protoss) winning a major final battle, but the ending cinematic shows some sort of foreshadowing that they've won the battle but lost the war, as they're no match for the fury of the swarm in the long run. Sort of like the end of the Protoss campaign in SC1, where Tassadar suicides into the Overmind, winning a major battle but at a huge blow to the Protoss. Anyways, who knows what will happen, but that's just a thought. | ||

You play as a commander who is kinda raynors friend by the end, by no means did you and raynor 'win' in sc vanilla terran campaign, you narrowly escaped dying and were left to watch some douche bag take over the terrans. protoss didnt really 'win' at the end of sc vanilla either, they just killed the overmind.... With their entire world in ruins and the zerg still scampering around destroying shit up... So i wouldnt be so sure terran will 'win' the wings of liberty campaign. | ||
