i just played a 1 hr long pvz on gaia just now on iccup and i thought it was pretty cool. zerg turtled up really hard and i was at big disadvantage and i didn't know what to do.. so i tried arbiter and it worked great!

arbiters cost 350gas each. You'd rather spend that gas on high templars

Because that's like 5 storms worth of gas, and you still have to wait an hour before the arbiter finishes building, and even longer before it has energy?

Ya, it's just not worth it. It's still usable but it really doesn't do the damage in order for you to compensate for the gas and the time that it consumes. Like in PvT, Terran army is very slow and they got bunch of shit in their bases so its harder for them to move all the way back and try to defend their base, which is completely the opposite for zergs. I would still use it in certain situations, maybe vs a turtle zerg? Still, I guess you can just get speed shuttles and harrass.

it works as a surprise tactic against a turtling zerg, otherwise it isnt worth the cost like yoonho said

I think the main problem with getting arbiters is that they're too easily sniped by scourge or hydras. Otherwise they'd be pretty damn good. Get an arbiter with a bunch of corsairs and it's like having a huge dt/corsair army

throwing in an arbiter or two in your late late game army isn't a bad idea. however, don't cut hts earlier on because of it.
When they see MC Probe, all the ladies disrobe.

late, late game PvZ is mass archons; cutting an archon for an arbiter would definitely be worth it. Otherwise, don't go 2base arbs or some crazy shit like that, you need the HT's/storms bad.

Not worth the gas, extremely slow build time, need to wait a long time for spells, very easily sniped by scourges (they move slooooooow).

i mean once your at the time where its like 3+ gas base each it seems like 350 gas isnt much when your income is coming so quickly.. but yea i suppose that makes sense.
it just seems like you could make an intresting pvz build that was like the 2 stargate speedlot nony build into recall there main supported with corsairs ?

Arbiters were recently used in that game between GosI[Flying] and EffOrt and the general response was "That's why you don't use arbiters PvZ.

Why not search TLPD instead of being lazy and making a 1 word post. it's really easy simply type in effort and go to ZvP games then go to gosi[flying]

I used arbs once in an hour long pvz on collosseum. I had 2, and would send one in with a ton of sair to recall an expo or the z main, do some damage, and then recall it all back to defend if i got countered or the army being sent to take it out was too big. It was effective but probably had more to do w/ the fact that i killed about 100 overlords in that game

1.) late game zerg armies dont attack air
2.) even if the zerg cant see ur army for like 5ish seconds that can tilt a battle SO SO much.. i mean if u can kill most of a zergs ultras late game you can generally just run him over

Arbiters PvZ are like hydras ZvZ: awesome on paper but you will almost never be able to make the transition ( except if you are playing vs an opponent worse than you ).
