키스의 고유조건은 입술끼리 만나야 하고 특별한 기술은 필요치 않다.

Can someone help me translate this phrase, and also give me the romanized version (ie how it would be spelled with roman letters).

I asked a Korean what I should learn if I was to learn only one scentence in Korean, also it is supposedly a pangram.

The essence of a kiss is to meet each others' lips, special techniques are not required.

Romanization (not sure if it's right, because I never learned how to romanize properly...)

kiss e go yoo jo gun eun eeb seul ggiri manna ya ha go, teuk byul han gi sool eun pil yo chi an ta.

kisuni koyucho konun imsulgilo mannyo haso pukbyulhan kisulun pilyochi anda.

this is what i got after my intensive 15 min korean language study.

must be 70% correct :D

Edit:

i stand corrected.

나 = na?
않 = ??

Ki seu eui go... wow this is hard

edit: oh you helped me with it, thx this actually gave me a tiny bit of greater understanding for how hangul works aswell, yay!

Is there a way to know when words end, or is it just like japansese that you pretty much have to KNOW the words to know where they begin and where they end (i know they sometimes alternate between kanji and hiragana to differentiate too)

Is there.. a simpler way of organizing the words to know how to pronounce it, I dont really know where the words begin and end right now.

Where did the ni at the start come from?? The first three are kiseuui right?
Oh and btw, if you go to google translate and set it as english -> korean (yes english -> korean, not korean -> english) and enter your hangul it romanises it for you:
kiseuui goyu jogeon-eun ibsulkkili mannayahago teugbyeolhan gisul-eun pil-yochi anhda.

Usually, you just have to know when the word ends, but most words in Korean have two root characters. Of course, you have to also understand the grammar to know how to use the roots. But more often than not, two characters represents a word. For example:

고유 (go yoo): essence, peculiarity, characteristics...
조건 (jo gun): a condition, a requirement...
입술 (eep seul): lips
-끼리 (-ggi ri): among ourselves [themselves]; by ourselves [themselves]; privately. (the hyphen before the word indicates that it is usually attached at the end of pronouns)
만나(다) (man na [da]): /with the da/ inf. to meet. (만나 by itself it the root of 만나다, the formal verb of, 'to meet')
특별 (teuk byul): -하다 special, especial, express; particular, peculiar; extraordinary; extra
(the 한 [han] after 특별 [teuk byul] is a modifer, and it causes 특별 to become an adjective.)
기술 (gi sool): skill, technique
필요 (pil yo): necessity; need; requirement

Hope that helps!

The words have a space between them, it's just the last letter is always a particle: e.g 가/이 (subject marker) 를/을 (object marker) 는/은 (topic marker, but sometimes different)

Particles show what function a certain word has in a sentence.

In the context of "noun 의" it sounds like eh or ueh but by itself it sounds really weird and I don't know how to romanize it...

for a beginner to intermediate levels of learning korean you can pretty much throw 의 out the window

the literal pronunciation of 의 is a glide (think w or y in English, those are both glides too). That's why chill said euwee. I'd write it as "euy." The "ee" sound is made by the glide. It's not the same "y" as in "your" but something more similar to "ee".

Note that 의 often isn't literally pronounced. It often turns into "ee" or "eh", depending on what word it appears in. So if you cannot pronounce the glide, worry not
Caution! Future approaching rapidly at a rate of about 60 seconds per minute.
