What makes a game great?
Much of today's games pit one macro bot against another macro bot in a competition to see who can make more units faster. More games are drawn out until maps are mined out, every expansion has been taken, and 200/200 armies clash head on with the victor prevailing in the end. However, as Starcraft slowly becomes a more robotic game by the day, we look back and appreciate the scrappier games of the past.
Today's installment of Nostalgia pits everyone's favorite silver surfer, Yellow, against the cheater iloveoov on U-Boat. In one of the greatest TvZ matches of all time, we saw Oov open with a dual starport build, similar to the what Leta does so often these days. For those unfamiliar with the map, U-Boat is essentially an island map. The mains are shaped like boats, floating on top of the water (which encompasses the rest of the map). So while the "naturals" and the middle of the map are all connected, to hit the main you had to drop or use air units.
Anyways, while Oov is busy amassing wraiths and mnm drops, Yellow opens with a hydra/lurk drop strategy.
Pew pew pew. Wraiths rape quite a few drones in this game
Oov then proceeds to seemingly crush Yellow with his drops and his ground army crushing every single expansion.
Looks like a pretty convincing win for Oov right?
However, Oov would soon mine out and both players revert to playing the game of refugee.
Hard to believe that Oov only has like 5 SCVs left
Lift and run! Hide behind lurkers! Stop lurkers, SCV attacks, one dropship/one OL worker harass. You name it, Oov/Yellow had it all. One of the scrappiest games ever.
As usual, I've included a download link as well as a Youtube link in lower quality if you're impatient.

PS: If Oov didn't lose like 20 marines to 2 lurkers, he woulda won the game pretty easily. But you know, that's just classic Oov. Make a bunch of stuff, forget to micro.
