Watch a standard pro replay for each MU you want to learn, and watch it like 5 times in the early game to get a build order down. When you've learned that build order/timing, use it, and you will win every game at D-/D.

When people get into D+ is when I think the average player starts getting more attuned to more detailed things like counter-BOs and the mechanics increase greatly. Although, of course this is all due to personal interpretation, I've undoubtedly met D level players that were good and D level players that were abysmal.

The level is sort of varying, yes, hence the statement ''you will win every game at D-/D'' isn't really accurate. I definitely agree that simply using a standard BO will beat D- players 99 games out of 100, but there are plenty of D players who uses proper BO's as well, so it takes a little more effort to make it up to D+.

lol yeah, sometimes when you just play ridiculous strategies and play contour to logic, you find yourself lucking wins. It feels good, but doesn't make you better. I mean, if you only won because you did something "wrong" thats ok on occasion, because maybe you guessed your opponent was bluffing, or whatever. But generally speaking as you get higher playing "wrong" will get you smashed, and he wont be blatantly bluffing, so wrong is just wrong.
Anyways, its happened to me before. Playing standard and smart is harder at the d ranks than just cheesing or doing whatever you please.

But as P it's easy to horror-gate/proxy-gate your way to >D+ against p and z respectively... Terran takes some skill, but that's a matchup I'm somewhat ok at
Anyway, I played a realllllllly stupid game with a reallllllllly stupid strategy intended more for lols than for winning. Then my opponent epic-failed a response. I then sat around letting him get back into the game to make it interesting.... Sadly... he didn't bother to sunken up or do anything to his "hidden" expo and gg'd before I could go on another suicidal spree.
