I'm 10-17 now, 1291 points, still pretty far from my first goal of D+, but I today I played a really sexy TvZ compared to before. I did 1rax FE, moved out as soon as two medics came out with 12rines and stim, and was totally surprised when he had mostly zerglings and only one sunken waiting for me. I usually never move out and just wait to fend off mutas, but after this, I'll definitely be playing around with different attacks and fakes to force sunkens.
After his natural died, he tried to muta harass, got fended off, and transitioned into 1base guardians, which after I scouted I added another starport and pumped wraiths and upgraded cloak. I did pretty good, except I lost my vessel because I was pretty careless. It was one of my best games ever, I stayed low in resources in comparison to many other TvZ games. I have one question though:
After getting an expansion up, 3 rax, 1 fac, and 1 or 2 ports, when do I get more rax and when do I get another expansion? I usually follow my own rule of thumb for rax, adding when I hit 600 minerals while pumping upgrades vessels tanks and mnm. That may be too slow. Also, I should expand when I move out before he gets defilers, because I should have semi-map control, right?
Anyways, my TvZ is just about or maybe even better than D+, my TvP is pretty horrible after failing a push, and my TvT is a solid D. Oh hohoho, just giving TL.net an update on the next progamer from usa, el-oh-el.
