contv 35 Posts July 03 2019 00:51 GMT #6 I for one am glad that Blizzard decided to address a more fundamental problem with Protoss warp ins negating defender's advantage, rather than only nerfing pick up range. A much more substantive change that will affect PvZ and PvT at all levels, and not just only the highest level, since few Protosses outside of GM can actually abuse pick up range to the extent we are seeing in GSL.

Seems like there are 2 schools of thought on immortal pushes and what to nerf about them: 1) Long warp prism pick-up range means immortals live way too long. High firepower + extreme survivability makes immortals too powerful. Let's nerf warp prism pick-up range so immortals aren't actually immortal. 2) Warp prism pick-up range is strong, but being able to quickly reinforce an attack means you always have a group of gateway units to drop the immortals behind. These factors combined are what make immortal pushes so strong. Warp prism micro is fun to watch, so let's nerf the warp-in time instead. Blizzard is clearly trying the second approach.
