Hey guys, its been many years since I have been on here. And it appears that I have somehow lost access to my original account DyEnasTy. I have been out of the scene almost entirely for a long time, but last night on youtube I randomly got recommended to watch the SCBW remastered event with Incontrol, Day9, Artosis and Tasteless commentating.
Well, the feels were real. The nostalgia was real. The tears were real. Especially knowing that Geoff is no longer with us. Havent cried that hard in years. He was truly a big part of my life. I still have a lot of the State of the Game podcasts on my old ipod. And they are the only reason I keep that thing around.
I got a couple questions if anyone has the time to help me out. I downloaded the remastered game, and first of all, wow its beautiful. But how do I download and watch replays? I cant really play since I am a father of 3 now and dont have the time to dedicate to the ladder like the old days. But l can definitely watch the replays.
Next question is maybe for an admin, how do I get access to my old account? When I tried sending a password reset to my email address it said something like there is no email on file for that username, or that the email address no longer accepts emails. Odd.
And last, besides the passing of Incontrol, what has happened in the SC scene over the last few years?

-You can download replays from www.BWReplays.com , save them into your Replay folder, and then watch them as usual.
-Your account is probably gone now it sounds like, so it won't be able to gain access back to it.
A lot has happened in the SC Scene in the past few years, click on the General section in BW Forum and have a go at reading, lots to catch up on!
Welcome back!

Ah thats a bummer, but not totally shocked. I need a refresher, where do I find the replay folder? Is windows 10 any different?

You save the replays in the maps folder. Replays of your own games are saved automatically i believe, and they should be there or on a subfolder inside the maps folder.
Then you watch them the same way you create a custom game, but you select the replay you want to watch instead of a map file.

Remastered replays folder has changed, it's now in My Documents > StarCraft > Maps > Replays
You can still put maps in the original Program Files > StarCraft > Maps folder, they will show up in game, but the default replay save folder will be in Documents.
As for your account, did you mean for TL or for b.net? If it's for b.net, even in the original before remastered bw, you had to login to your account at least once every 3 months or it will be wiped. So if you haven't done that, it's most likely gone.

My bnet account is working fine. I actually used it to register onto TL. My TL account seems to be gone. I can search my name and see all of my posts and the profile itself, but I camt log in. Its not a big deal but I did enjoy my deceny post count. I had a couple PMs in there that I had always hung onto from Day9 and Incontrol.

Oh I thought you meant your bnet account, a MOD will most likely eventually read this thread and then hopefully can help you reset your password if they aren't too busy maybe, although if you cannot prove it's you / may not remember the exact details to log into the account, it may be best to just start off with a new account, although with the PM's from Day9 / Inc, I can understand wanting to get the account back.

Yeah I'd love to get my old account back. And I can prove that I'm the owner of that account. But if I cant then oh well, its not a huge loss.

The outstanding issue from the OP is regarding a former account. I'm moving this here in case one of the mods in this section can answer his question regarding a lost account.
