Personally I think you should stay away from Auto-Matchmaking. Without the AMM feature it forces people into the channel to find games. Suddenly we have active chat channels. When I played this last night I was hanging out in the channel talking about games... joining other games to watch people play. Doing re-matches. It feels like BW. I worry that AMM would take away the personality of a system where you have to find someone you want to play with.

Me and a friend who had pretty much quit playing competitively, only playing customs, are now looking forward to this. Excellent! Things I'd love to see: 1) Matchmaking. Yeah, I realize it may be awhile, and this whole thing is in development, but an automated matchmaker would be so awesome. 2) Larger map pool. Or at least, rotate maps frequently. I think that 20 maps is a good pool, but if it has to be smaller, than at least change it up frequently so things don't get stale. 3) No Blizzard maps at all. Hate those. Use player created maps exclusively. 4) Change the name. I know, I'm kinda pissed at Blizz too for their ineptitude, but let's be diplomatic. Make a real name, instead of an insult towards Blizzard (even though they deserve it!) and let's see how popular it can get, and how serious people will take it. Thank you so much for doing this, and good luck. On the note of 3. Are you kidding me? A few of the Blizzard maps like The Shattered Temple and Metalopolis are actually quite well designed but are spoiled by how different each match can be through the randomness of positioning. I say only use the TOURNAMENT versions of certain Blizzard maps i.e. MLG Metalopolis where only cross positions are enabled. I think it's safe to say that none of these maps will be used in their current format, for reasons mentioned below. 1v1test1:

I also agree that a name change could certainly benefit the league in the long run. Does anyone have any creative ideas for one though? I'm sure a brainstorm could give Angrybacon some ideas.

If it turns quite big and Blizzard does improve then by all means change the name to something more professional. Even though I live in NA I think an EU release would be great for popularity.

this has so much potential. We finally get to play more maps and the devs within this program seem very ATTUNED to the pro scene and will accommodate us fairly quickly compared to blizz. AWESOME. but yeah we need some kind of soft matchmaking to get games going a bit faster. At least the option to. Finding players faster and getting games rolling quicker will help with the growth.
