ESL Asia is proud to announce that we will be launching the most successful Starcraft 2 cup, GO4SC2 for the South-East Asia region! With the launch of the ESL SEA Section for the Electronic Sports League, The ESL Asia committee is pleased to be once again working together with the Starcraft 2 community in South-East Asia after the tremendous success of the Intel Extreme Masters Sea and Asia Qualifiers for Season V of the Intel Extreme Masters where we saw FXO-MoonGlaDe competing in the World Finals at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany!
Electronic Sports League (ESL) introduces Go4SC2, a series of tournaments in Starcraft 2, ONE of the most popular RTS games worldwide for the South-East Asia region. Every Sunday it will feature a cup with unlimited number of participants and 75USD as the main prize. Top 16 players in each cup will be awarded points depending on their performance and the final placement. Every Thursday, another cup will take place and the top 8 will be awarded points. At the End of a month, 8 players with the biggest amount of points will participate in a monthly final with 250USD in cash prizes. The competition will begin on the last Sunday of May (the 29th).

Right after the successful series of Go4SC2 Cups launched successfully across other regions worldwide, Go4SC2 will offer players of any skill level a regular opportunity to compete with the best for the prize Money. Starcraft 2 is ONE of the most-played PC games in the world, where players compete against ONE another for Victory on highly stylized battlefields and landscapes. Go4SC2 will not be the Only Starcraft 2 tournament within the Electronic Sports League for South-East Asia. Taking Into consideration its large popularity as well as a high international level of the game play, it was already introduced as ONE of the disciplines of the Intel Extreme Masters, the premier eSports event held in seasons that introduce large cash prize Money to be competed by players from all over the world.
Electronic Sports League
The Electronic Sports League (ESL) is the largest and most important league for gamers in Europe consisting of more than 2,9 million registered members and more than 710,000 registered teams. ESL is operated by the company Turtle Entertainment GmbH since 2000 and offers more than 3,500 professional leagues and amateur ladders from a variety of games. Nearly 400.000 matches per month are being played worldwide using the ESL technology. The ESL website currently reaches above 1,6 million Unique visitors a month and about 35.000 New players register every month.
Every Thursday and Sunday the best StarCraft II players in South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand will play for ranking points to qualify for the 250 US Dollars monthly finals on top of 75 US Dollars every Sunday.

- 1. Who can participate in the Go4SC2 Cups?
Anyone Who might be staying in the South-East Asian countries and own a copy of Starcraft 2 Sea Battle.net Account. Players within Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Hongkong are also welcome to participate if you own a copy of Starcraft 2 for the Sea region.
2. What is this Point System that ESL implements for its Go4SC2 Cups?
The Point System was introduced as part of the ESL Rankings for the top players playing in the Go4SC2 Cups on the ESL platform, Which is universally used across all regions running Go4SC2. Players compete in both the cash and Point cups to accumulate points based on top 8 most points accumulated to stand a chance to compete in the monthly finals for $250 US Dollars (Sea).
3. How are the points distributed according to the rankings for the cups itself (both Thursday and Sunday)
