met alffla, really awesome and nice guy, gave me so much detailed info about the area i was in, recommending good food and shopping places without me even asking. definitely made this trip much more meaningful thanks to him <3 <3
ocean park was decent, but i didn't really like it because of 1) the dolphin show (watch The Cove and you'll know why i didn't like it at all) and 2) i fucking hate roller coasters and those rides. i hate heights so even the ferris wheel was pretty damn scary lol.
DIM SUM THERE IS SO AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. XIAOLONGBAO IS TEH BEST. they're like gift from the heavens, edible pieces of precious sparkling jewelry that makes you feel complete, warm and all fuzzy when you bite it and all the pork soup stock thing fills your mouth. really, if you have time to eat only a few things, then XIAO LONG BAO is one that you HAVE to eat. the other would be EGG TARTS. geezus they are SO GOOD. ate 4 in one night lol, bought like 20+ egg tarts for us friends to share, ate all in one night. so. damn. GOOD.
spent christmas countdown with me and two other friends, wandered around hk areas trying to look for any happening countdown spots, ended up going to this crowded area where nothing happened -_-
hongkong MTRs are efficient, but uber packed. people shove so hard, much much harder than singapore. it actually hurts a lot D:
idk what else to post of atm, but hongkong has been really great for me, especially because i love eating different varieties of food. :3
