First game: TvT
Got Thor rushed. My initial scout led me to believe that my opponent wasn't very good with his 1 rax. How naive of me :p My defence wasn't helped by the fact that some of my units managed to get stuck in my wall off (Why did I even wall off? Heh.)
Q. Should I scout for cheese immediately, or only scout for cheese after seeing suspicious inactivity in opponent's base?
Game 2: TvP
Opponent tried to cannon rush. I had kept my eye on the mini-map and noticed their probe disappearing in my base. Good on me.
I was pretty slow with my MMM. Didn't really scout well at all. Failed to noticed dark shrine. Wasted an orbital scan just before their DTs attacked.
Q. Still uncertain about how to be a good scout. I recall that I sent a 2nd SCV to check things out, to find a cannon blocked entry. Should I have used a scan at that point? Maybe build a reaper to scout?
Game 3: TvZ
Easy game. Opponent only went early lings and then mass roaches. MMM took care of it comfortably.
Reflection:
I was happy with the way I dealt with losing to the Thor rush cheese. They were positive learning experiences, with the DTs as well. Didn't even know how to counter Thors prior to that game.
Still not really confident or understanding of BOs. I feel much more secure in going 2 rax, than 1/1/1 for example. That is probably due to my lack of mech play too. I've rarely used hellions and siege tanks.
Ending on a good note, my computer just reset itself and all of this entry was still here on opening up the browser :D
