His game knowledge is at best decent. But I heard he has a big fanbase since Beta. So maybe he is a caster for the non esport players? I dont know.

Homer J basicly casts everything, thats not hosted by ESL. I am not the biggest fan of his casts too and i know a lot of people who are not either, but watching his casts because of no german (or often english) alternative.

Homer provides plenty of stuff for the casual player that simply wants to have fun, seasoned with a big community-aspect. Knowledge-wise he might not be the german equivalent to Day9 (well, who is?), and although some/many dislike him and prefer other german casters, he compensates with casting which is deemed as funny and/or even crazy to most people, thus gathering an insane userbase, bringing esports even to people who had no idea what SC2 is until they saw Homer. Additionally, he is in good standing with a lot of well-known players, so there will always be some good stuff coming around (he is live on Skype with Dimaga as I am typing this). Thank you, Homer, for spreading SC2
