Some things I figure I should do... some research on issues I'll probably be working on.
Aside from that, what else should I make sure I know so I don't sound like a tardfuck next week?

"What is your strength / weakness' "Give me an example of a time uve had a problem and how you resolved it" "Give an example of when a friend or coworker was a problem and how you resolved it". You basically just have to go Gandhi on their ass.

You basically just have to go Gandhi on their ass. Yeah, definitely look up some common interview questions like these and think of a basic answer around it. But make sure to not sound like you're regurgitating a precomposed answer. In my experience, it's better to be a little more serious than it is to relax. Of course, when the mood is right, you can joke around a bit.

Previous job experience + shows you can think, etc.. Stories are also more believable.

What can you do for us? Why are you interested in the job? What prior relevant experience do you have? Research the company and the position your applying for so you are prepared Maintain good eye contact Make sure you dress profesionally If they ask you if you have any questions make sure you have a few you can ask about them Do a few mock interviews with friends

Dressing up in a suit, treating it as an in person interview is very good advice to follow if possible. Don't practice too much unless you get really nervous, you don't want answers to sound rehearsed. However if you don't generally spend time talking on the phone call lots of other people, catch up with old friend, family, etc. Try to be aware of and eliminate bad phone habits you may have like tapping your fingers, sighing, browsing tl and only half paying attention, etc. Make sure phone is fully charged and you'll be able to speak freely with no background noise. Take notes during the interview with pen and paper, no keys clacking. Research the company, industry, relevant current events and have a long list of questions ready. Many of them may get answered during the normal course of the interview, cross them off as you go. Pretty much every phone interview will have "So, do you have any questions for me?" asked near the end. Having no questions to ask is very bad. Ask the best question, and after they answer ask if they have time for more. Don't make them feel pressed for time or hurried, but you gotta have questions. Show you understand how valueable their time is. Get their contact info if you don't have it already, send a thank you next morning.

For example "I sometimes have trouble keeping track of all the little things I have to do throughout the day. So I started keeping a notepad and writing down all the things I need to do as they come up, then throughout the day I check my notepad to make sure I'm getting everything done."

if its a "big company" u should probably also read a lot into the bridge meyers personality test, to put yourself in a good spot. Keep in mind that this is basically lying to those who are interviewing you....
