Caption reads, "(From left) Razer's product evangelist Christopher Mitchell, product developer Terence Tang, community manager Steve Cheverie, chief executive Tan Min Liang, and lead designer Nik Lee are part of the design team based here."
Basically, he will be helping with the development of Razer products specially meant for SC2.
I'll be having dinner with him later, might ask more questions.

orly?
who would notice a light on the mouse when looking at the screen (unless it's sth really obnoxious?)
huh? the same way you notice your phone lighting up when you get a text message. your peripheral vision is very capable of picking up small changes in light
Like the article says, its a possibility, but it definitely would work. Whether it's a useful enough feature to be placed on a product constructed for competitive play is another matter hahahah. There are tooooons of possibilities, even I don't know what the final set of features will be.
Rest assured that I'm pretty heavily involved on this as a StarCraft player though. There's definitely certain things I would never compromise.

I put my cell above my keyboard when I'm at my desk, that makes a huge, huge difference compared to where my mouse is. For a light to be seen shining from the mouse it would have to be pretty obnoxious in bright daylight

the quote says "mouse or keyboard" it's not like we aren't testing these ideas we come up with!

i got a razer deathadder (for which you can opt to turn off or on the illuminating lights at the mouse) and the difference is quite noticeable
