Hey Tl.netters!
I have a question for any Playstation Portable users out there. Or maybe some console users that know about the custom firmwares/softmodding on psp's.
I have an 2k with the newest motherboard. So until lately everyone stated that the mobo couldn't be softmodded with a custom firmware. Well i gave up on it and bought Patapon. (my favorite game when i was using a friends psp) I was so disappointed, because i wanted to play Gameboy games and other games too. (Like pokémon!)
Now some say there is a new softmod for the 3k's and the newest of the 2k series. Does anyone have an new psp and have tried this new Custom Firmware softmod?
Im very interested because in the vacation i have massive time to spend and i would love to play some good games in my psp while im sitting in the sun or when im on a trip.
Thanks in advance!

I don't follow the PSP modding anymore, but I'm pretty sure every 2000 models can be modded since a while now. Just have to google around, maybe on the forums of dc-emu.

Ok, i know for sure that the newest motherboards couldnt' be modded a half year back. Il be checking some psp mod forums now.
If anyone has more information for me please do tell!

2000's can be modded now. 3000's haven't been cracked. from what my friend says, it's pretty damn hard

imBLIND can you ask him about the 2k that has new motherboards? the 88v3 mobo to be exact.

You don't modify the motherboard. You just modify the battery. That's probably what you meant though.
This is probably not the best place for information on this though. This question could be answered very quickly on a psp modding/ iso sharing forum.
