Travelling back to Russia from Germany signed his own death sentence, and that was three years ago. Have to agree with zeo for once, Avdiivka is a losing cause at this point - lack of artillery shells, and Russian implementation of CAS seems to be working in a way Bahkmut didn't. Congratulations to Putin on his success in buying out Trump and the Republican party. I don't know if more support from USA would've helped, but it obviously can't have hurt.

Everytime in western media it's like "putin has been informed of x death" like he wasn't directly involved, don't know why they write like this. That's quoting Russian state media. They let everyone know that Putin "was informed" out of obvious reasons. I think the only real source so far is the Russian prison administration, which i bet is a very righteous and transparent institution...

One of the first things he did after forming the National Russian Liberation Movement was start a propaganda campaign against immigrants. This video still on his official Youtube channel has him dressed up as a dentist comparing migrants to tooth decay, with the message 'Everything in our way should be carefully but decisively be removed through deportation'. 'Russia for ethnic Russians'. In another video he equates Muslims with cockroaches that can only be dealt with by exterminating them (with a gun preferably): Navalny was also for lifting most gun restrictions and increased access to all weapons (to defend from migrants of course) He has consistently refused to disavow these views, even calling Georgians rodents during the 2008 conflict between Russia and Georgia. He was a tool for most of his adult life and was a tool to the very end, the fact that this was the guy western governments and NGOs funneled tens of millions of dollars into... what the hell did they expect? With his comments on Crimea and Ukraine in 2014 if he actually did come to power then Navalny probably would have sent the army in by 2016. Though some of these views were softened recently with millions of dollars in softeners I guess. Still a racist, still a bigot.

And Putin rise to defend Hitler... No red flags there... Move along and live another day.

I guess skipping the first part is smarter, just ignore it and continue to pretend there's nothing wrong with Kremlin's treatment of the local opposition. I also love the immediate "He was paid millions by the west".

I have no doubt the Russian penal system is in dire need of reform and without a doubt reduces the lifespan even of the healthy people put into that system. Maybe you feel that ethno-nationalists that openly called for the beatings and expulsion of religious and ethnic minorities should have special treatment? I don't. 'But he was against corruption!' - Yeah, but you can do that without the people at your meetings shouting Sieg Heil and that 'not bothering you'. How the Russian liberals got tricked into following this piece of shit racist-bigot must have been a wild ride. edit: thinking about it spending any more energy on a guy like this is just stupid. A true bigot and racist died today, is the World a better place? Not really. I'm just glad he didn't get into any kind of position of power, for the sake of all of us

Quite an interesting moral compass you've got there. ;-)

Still, honestly, thanks for posting them. I'll flatly admit I wasn't familiar with this aspect of Navalny, only really having been exposed to him from shorter snippets, and you at least inspired me to look into him more.

I don't understand how MSM can talk non-stop about this guy for years without ever giving a broader picture of his character. The "worst" I've heard was that he was a hard-line nationalist and not unlike Putin in that regard. I don't think I ever agree with you on any issue zeo, but it's interesting when you bring more context to some issues.

I have no love for Bolsonaro and would cheer news of his death, but I would be appaled if I learned he was assassinated by the Brazilian goverment, and it would also be one of the blackest marks possible on Brazilian democracy. Same, I would assume, for every left wing American here in regards to Trump

This would not change anithing regarding what is going on in their country, would it? They need artillery shells, vehicles, weapons, equipment and other resources.
