Those would be pretty solid specs, no? Also, why is it concerning that most people are confident that the next iteration of the Switch is likely to be backwards compatible with the current Switch? People who are speaking about recomputability are pointing out that it's more likely a Yes than a No, given Nintendo's successful history with having backwards compatibility.
Also, I think it makes sense to wait for the actual specs and actual information put out by Nintendo. No reason to get worked up (positively or negatively) until we know something official.

I would be absolutely outraged if the 'Switch 2' (working title I guess) can't play my switch games.

I hope the Nintendo decides to make a deal with Spike-Chunsoft to bring the Fire Pro Wrestling series back to Nintendo where it belongs. I hope the Switch2 gives Nintendo an increased motive to do so.

It is possible. Possibilities like this are why i'm glad piracy exists and i can always continue playing the games i've purchased via piracy when the publisher decides to unperson the game.

Very nice, weird that it took so long. There's a lot of love for Golden Sun. Still waiting on Golden Sun 4..

I never played the first two. The third on the DS was only decent at best.

I can't speak to the 2nd or 3rd, but the original Golden Sun was phenomenal. I'm excited to replay it on Switch, and then play its sequel

The third one was a huge disappointment. Fans asked for years for a new GS game and then we got Dark Dawn, I don't think anyone was happy with it. Dark Dawn ends on a cliffhanger and there was gonna be a 4th game, but it was so poorly received that the 4th game just got canned. So we don't know the end of the story.
DS1 and 2 tell a story by themselves though, and I very much recommend playing them, amazing games. Perhaps a bit dated by now, some of the dungeons might be frustrating. Would still recommend playing.

it'll be interesting to see how Nintendo responds to the MIG-Switch. MIG-Switch
this will harm the sale the used physical games.

Finally finished Super Mario Bros. Wonder, took a 2 month break for old school Runescape leagues
Great game though. While some levels were a bit easy, all of them were FUN. I also found there were plenty of 5-star levels that gave me a good challenge. Admittedly almost all of those are hidden/endgame so you sometimes have to go through 20+ easy levels before encountering another challenge. The final level was great, felt like a WoW raid boss, constant prog until it's dead. I think the devs were too nice by giving us checkpoints though, force the player to do all 10 badges in a row!
This might've been my last Switch game until Switch 2, depends if I clear my backlog to the point where I can finally pick up Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but that seems unlikely. I think I'd rather play that beast on the improved Switch anyway, and WITHOUT joycon drift

I agree they should have skipped the checkpoints, although actually the checkpoints can sort of hurt you too, because you lose your mushroom. The firebars are a big difficulty spike you can essentially skip if you came from the start and kept your shroom.
I know what you mean though, I won't be satisfied until I beat it all in one shot. I have to admit, it didn't look too bad when I saw people play through the level previously, but it's definitely harder than anything from the classic games or the one from the New series that I completed. I wonder how it compares to some of, say, the Galaxy challenge levels, because I've not played through those games.

Tips in spoilers if you want them
+ Show Spoiler +Hit X to post a speech bubble and show your location. For the final part with the bouncy fish, keep Dash and Jump pressed at all times so you're sure to jump higher, and use a spin a the top of each jump to see your location.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong demo is downloadable for free atm. Never played the original, and wasn't really thinking about buying the Switch version, but maybe the demo will change my mind.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong demo was way too short and way too simple imo. Very cute game, but I'm not sold on it right now.

30 days into ring fit adventure. I have run nearly 60 miles and average 14k steps a day when including my daily routine. I eliminated snacking and eating seconds and have been able to drop 10 lbs, down to 200 (which isn’t bad for being nearly 6’3).

That's excellent! Congratulations! We had some gym equipment in our basement that we regularly used, but now we're in the process of a 6+ month renovation on the basement, with that gym equipment out of commission for half a year. It might make sense to pick up Ring Fit Adventure, to keep active in a fun way.

I am planning on getting back into Ring Fit Adventure. This thread has been a good source of motivation. I used it briefly in 2023 but travelled a lot for work. Now, that I will be home regularly, I hope to start using Ring Fit again. I want to try and use it as a "warm-up" before doing weights. I found Ring Fit to be fun, yet challenging enough that I was sweating after a 30-minute session.
On a side note, I haven't been regularly posting on tl.net but I constantly check this thread every time I load up this website so I appreciate all the people that keep this thread active on all things Nintendo Switch related.

Glad you continue to check the thread! I have a feeling that 2024 might be a bit quieter than previous years when it comes to new Switch games, but it's likely we'll continue to share rumors and confirmed info about the next Nintendo console too.
I also bought Ring Fit Adventure today, so I'm going to be switching back and forth between that game and Stormgate over the next few weeks
