Very tight fitting but comfortable. The shoe has gone through a pounding the last 6 weeks... I've probably put 150 km on them so far. Even after the 6 week//150 km pounding I put on them the shoes work well on hardwood floors playing basketball. I have not tested the shoes on asphalt playing basketball. I give these shoes another 4 to 6 weeks before I'll need a new pair.
Excellent shoe for insecure adolescent males obsessed with bragging about how big their shoes are... how tall they are.. etc etc. I normally wear a size 11 or 11.5 shoe... with the way these Infinity things fit I can easily wear a size 12. So the shoe is good for bragging purposes. I don't for 1 second doubt the above explanation is why they made these shoes so tight fitting. As opposed to this BS about how it helps you make "Kyrie Irving super tight moves" on the hardwood.
Overall: 8/10 and worth $170 CDN. So you buy new shoes every... 3 months? That seems a bit extra. i walk//run ~35 km a week. At the gym I play basketball and squash ~5 hours a week. When I do this with only one pair of shoes they last about three months. When I have separate jogging shoes and court//basketball shoes they last 6+ months.
I've beat the hell out of the Kyrie Irving shoes and they're still in decent shape. I'm impressed.

You should start segregating your shoes more. They need 1-2 days after use to dry out. If you do that they will last much longer on a per mile measurement.

if , in fact, Kawhi is a lot bigger than he used to be ... it is a bad move by him. If he tries to approach the kind of workload he had in the 2019 playoffs he'll get tendonitis in his lower body someplace.
What he gains in power he'll lose even more in endurance. Tendons must take on additional load when muscles are tired. Kawhi will have to keep his minutes relatively low throughout the playoffs.

Warriors extended wiggs for 4 more years and signed poole for 4 years. Does this mean they are going to break all sorts of luxury tax records or is KO green going to get traded?
|
I'm surprised that they got Wiggins for $109 million for 4 years with a player option for a 5th year that will make it a total of $143 million. Poole is at $140 million for 4 years. Wiggins is only 4 years older and I thought he was the more valuable player. I guess they are banking on more improvement from Poole and him actually playing defense in the future. He is closer in age to their planned new core.
Maybe they are going to ask Green to take a discount. Give Poole some money in exchange for the black eye.
|
I think wiggins took a discount. Probably pretty happy to be on a winning team in the perfect environment for him after taking such crazy hate from almost everyone before on the Twolves. Probably figured he had made enough and giving up 40 million or whatever not a big deal to still make crazy money somewhere he is appreciated and can have a good time. After this year, given how few games he missed and around game in the most looked for position, lock down D win with length and scoring, he could have gotten a max somewhere.
I agree they almost had to pay poole after Green, I think green will get traded but discount is possible too I guess.
|
Wiggins is settling into his role as the #4 guy on the Warriors quite nicely.
|
I know it was a long offseason but he was number 2 and allstar last year. If he is #4 this year might as well plan tge parade!
|
Hard to say who's who other than Steph. Klay might be the #5 this year. Wiggins, Poole, Draymond and Klay have more value to this Warriors team than they have elsewhere.
|
Maybe even kuminga or wiseman, who knows for next year. Hopefully klay gets some of his lateral speed and explosiveness back. He is so darn likeable.
Last year was easy it was Wiggins there was games where it was poole, and some that were green but on the whole and in the finals it was Wiggins.
|
I think Klay's biggest problem last year was his shooting percentage. I don't know if that's because of his physical abilities or if he was just rusty with his shooting.
Wiggins was #2 in the playoffs, especially after the Denver series. He started the season well enough but struggled mightily during the latter half of the season, especially when Draymond was injured. Poole was probably more valuable during the regular season and the Denver series. He started really hot during the playoffs before his defense became more of a liability.

There were points where he is not #2 but overall I think it is pretty clear. Any hate towards him at this point is silly, he was a top starter on a championship team and an allstar. GS won that trade so hard and Wiggins worked out better than they could have dreamt when they made it.
|
GS definitely won that trade even if Kuminga ends up a total bust.

Toronto Raptors tickets in the lower bowl that are $530 for tonight's game.... the same seats for a Toronto Maple Leafs game around ~$300. The lowest price lower bowl Raptors tickets are $200 while the Maple Leafs lowest lower bowl seats are $115. The Toronto Blue Jays did not sell out any of their playoff games.
The NBA has done a great job tweaking their rules to keep the NBA brand of basketball highly entertaining. I can't say the same for the NHL with hockey or MLB with baseball.
The MLB brand of baseball is particularly boring.
Kudos to Silver, Stern, and the leadership of the NBAPA. Their victory in Toronto is well earned.

Steph and Dray formed the foundation of the team. Wiggins did a nice job filling in his role. It is clear Kerr//management told him to only take open jump shots during the playoffs. The entire playoffs I think he only took 1 three in traffic. He took something like 90+ open and wide open 3s. Again, the guy did a nice job filling in his #4 role with the team. WIggins deserves credit for following the team's//Kerr's game plan. No point in having a 33% shooter jacking up covered 3s when you've got snipers like Steph, Klay and Poole.
He will be the 4th highest paid player on the team and is their #4 guy over all.

It is just clear that you do not watch GSW. No way Klay was the number 2 last year. He was a shell of himself, his scoring and efficiency was down, he couldn't attack at all, and he went from covering the top offensive threat (which Wiggins did) to covering the least because of his lack of lateral movement. Now maybe he gets that back this year, but last year it was clear.
Not to mention he shot 38% from 3 in 2020 and 39% in 2021 and a efg% in both years of 54.3% (dragged down by his poor FT shooting). Both 3 point and efg better than Klay before you consider defense and he did it in over double the games.
In the playoffs Klay had a slight edge, but again way less on the D end and the amount of extra shots Wiggins creates with his offensive rebounding. There is a reason that every MVP ranking had Wiggins second after Steph and Klay was way down.
And if you are fan of availability, which most people are, in the last 8 years the only player in the NBA with more minutes is James Harden.
If he ends up as their 4th guy this year, then they will be raising another banner.
|
NO going to be super fun to watch if Zion stays healthy this year. They looked good after getting CJ from por and they looked awesome last night. Be exciting to have some new blood competing at the top and they looked primed to do it.
Den did not look good, Murray is just getting back from over a year so I'm doubting anyone is too worried. But it looks like the Joker is going to have to be at MVP level again for them to compete.
Wood looked like a good compliment to Luka, but I still do not think they have what it takes to win it all but should be exciting.
|
What's more interesting is that the Suns came back from double digits instead of folding like a lawn chair. Guess they're saving that for the playoffs.
|
They are going to be interesting. Anyton seems unhappy with the contract stuff, will they trade him when they can? And how long can Paul keep being an important "great" player. Maybe they will be good again? I have about as much faith as you in their post season hopes.
|
theyll trade ayton if they could replace him somehow, a trade for miles turner probably could work, but turner is due for a contract as well.
|
and I'm not sure that is what the pacers want, I think they are full tank mode so they likely want picks and expiring. Maybe the Raps since they need a big man could do something around OG?
