Pro 2020 is so rough to look at, lots of borders for no reason making it feel cramped and shows less info than the WCS 3.0 did >_> I wasn't super fond of it since release of it:
I like the WCS 3.0 one over gameheart because it makes the main bar bigger, but the command card from gameheart was better (not fucking with it). Also yeah, income is suuuuuuuuper helpful and important, it being missing is ridiculous.

WCS 3.0, not perfect but it’s pretty bloody good.
Personally I prefer to have some of the observer UI info selectable by the observer to show a particular stat or bit of data when its pertinent. Cramming too much in, ok it’s nice information but it can be too much visual clutter/take away any mystery from the game.
If you’ve followed the game for 10 year and haven’t been a complete idiot in consuming games, having income rate, resources lost along with the banks and supply info give you a real, real good idea who’s winning, sometimes to an anticlimactic degree.

Too much infos on all of them. Casters get lazy and just scream "just look at de soupply" whenever something note worthy happens. Less is more imo, it makes the games harder to predict for a viewer standpoint which adds to the excitement. But esports fans usually have a hard-on for stats so I don't expect to see a BW style interface in Sc2 ever It's like having at all time all the stats that are displayed once or twice during a football match (ball possession, etc). Useful sure but kinda kills the magic of the game. Imagine a football game where the commentator just keeps on saying "bro just look at the ball possession bro, it tell the entire story xd" every 5 minutes

The reality is that those displays are critically important for assessing the game, predicting outcomes in the short&long term and learning from it. The game is all about math. LOOK AT DE SOUPLY is overwhelmingly legit.

I actually find it weird that a lot of the popular casters don't pay much attention to what is happening in the game and instead talk about random real life things; it can be actively distracting and worse than if they had just said nothing.
Even after all of these years i have a tendancy to assume that if a caster is talking about random unrelated crap, it's because there's nothing important happening in the game that they are observing at the moment. That couldn't be further from the truth. I still find games all of the time where e.g. a protoss player will build a stargate, build a unit out of it, kill two overlords and then fly across the map and kill some drones before any caster even mentions that the P player built a tech building ever - let alone when they built it. If you were blind you would legitimately have no clue what was going on.
It's not at all specific to protoss either, there are so many zerg games where it's just never mentioned if the Z dropped pool first or hatch first, on how many drones, if and when they took gas, how much gas they mined, if they dropped the third hatch before queens, how many initial zerglings were there and what are they doing etcetc!
People just go off on weird rants about where they want to go on holiday and it's like yooooo there's a whole game happening here.

How can one even use Gameheart? Is this included in the Mod somehow? Can't find it in SC2 options.

When you are making a map, type Gameheart and pick from their list. Rest is automatic

Seeing how much they are mining is crucial so WCS 3.0, no question!

I also don't like how we use a wrench and sword for workers and the army. I guess switching up and having icons is nice stylistically, but nothing in this game uses a wrench or a sword. SCV uses a drill and zealots use psi blade. I am not sure if we can even switch between apm tab/resource lost in the Pro 2020 display, so I think that's some feature loss there.
Not entirely true, although I agree that it may not fit starcraft perfectly, it does convey what is being displayed perfectly for beginners. Additionally, units in this game do use wrenches and swords. Nova uses a sword called the monomolecular blade in Nova Covert Ops. and the SCV repair icon contains wrenches so it can be assumed that they might use wrenches to repair units.
