Thought Adesanya fought well, surprised Jan didn't go to his wrestling earlier considering he's a much bigger fella, but sort of Anderson Silva, his grappling is significantly weaker than his striking & that will most likely be the blueprint for beating him. I feel like we have Amanda Nunes in a situation like playing UFC Undisputed 3 on the PS3. You're at the top so you're either just beating the same people over & over or beating the 9th ranked fighter since there's no one left. Other than GDR, don't see anyone else posing any sort of threat to Nunes. Doubt they'll do another Shev fight since Nunes is 2-0 & Pena has literally no stand-up to offer any trouble.

The build-up to the Askren-Paul fight was the most zoomer stuff I've seen, I think I'm extremely out-of-touch with today's trends because that was extremely cringe. As for the fight itself, I've never watched Paul fight & don't know much about him other than him being a Youtuber & he has a brother, but he seems to have some decent punching power. His boxing is pretty horrendous as he was looping & aiming for the fences so if it was anybody more disciplined, pretty sure he'd get gassed pretty hard & fast. Whittaker really seems to have polished his jab & footwork even more. It felt sort of like his fights against Romero where he was the outside guy trying to initiate with jabs & kicks & his occasional rush that he throws in similar to Machida. Gastelum seems to have fallen on hard times since his epic bout with Adesanya. I doubt he gets cut for this loss but one more loss, especially if it's against an unranked fella? Pretty sure that'll be it for him unless he cuts to 170. Unfortunately, as big of a fan I am of Whittaker, I can't seem him beating Adesanya. His style just doesn't seem to match up at all, even with wrestling mixed in, I think Adesanya will be able to just catch him too often & stuff the occasional takedowns that Whittaker will trying sprinkling in during the rematch, especially if Whittaker fights similarly in their original fight.

I'm with you there, but with how he has been fighting he deserves a chance to prove us wrong! But Vettori deserves a shot too. I'd put Izzy vs Whittaker with Vettori on deck if either falls out. Also, I've been hoping for like 5 year that the UFC would get rid of 170 and add 165 and 175. I think Gastleman would be a 175 champ, he's just a little 2 big for 170.
