Ah yes, the old replace a player I don't like with one I like even though he didn't do enough in the first place. You are truly the model for sportsmen.

Waste TY? TY didn't qualify while Classic had the points for over 6 months and was waiting just for the army to decide. WTF?
Noob question but there’s zero chance I’ll be up at 5am here to watch live.
Can probably manage 8, is there a way to watch ‘as live’ at that time, or will VoDs be up?
The whole broadcast won’t be over before I start work. I usually watch GSL by just rewinding the YouTube stream but obviously they’re not streaming it on that platform this time around

Sigh. You have a whole year to qualify ffs.
I love TY and he’s shown really good play the last few months, but too late to qualify. It seems doing the casting gig suits him mentally as he’s clearly been playing better since he started mixing it up, so hopefully we’ll see TY at his best next year.
Stats had to play Serral and Maru consecutively, he wasn’t at his best but that’s a brutal group even if he’s playing at his absolute top.
Stats was the last guy to make Serral look mortal in ZvP, sadly I think he showed his hand too early at HSC and couldn’t come up with anything new to bring to Blizzcon.

IMO, something is wrong if T/P have to continually produce new strategies to stay viable against Z. Right now it seems like top zergs only lose when they get surprised.

I would agree with this, especially with P. There’s a difference between having a stock reliable style and bringing out new stuff to surprise opponents vs having to continually innovate new styles.
Protoss had a good period this year with Immortal pushes and now it seems that Zergs are so wise to them that we basically don’t see them at all. Plus the overlord speed cost reduction made them easier to spot.
It’s really not a good sign that a matchup is at all stable that cannon rushes are frequently being thrown out by even the most macro-orientated players, and fake Robo builds into sneaky double Stargate you see relatively frequently too.
I think some of the balance-whine talk got out of hand and really derailed the Group B LR thread at points. We're enforcing stricter standards behind balance whining in the Global Finals LR threads from this point on..
I don't believe enough in Reynor's form in international events to expect this notice to be enforced today . Now group D however should be a real cracker.
