WCS Summer starts this Friday, July 12th, so it’s time to take a look at the results of Group Stage nominations, held by our referee team! 16 WCS Challenger winners from 6 different regions will be accompanied by 64 Open Bracket players - the full list of Open Bracket contestants can be found in our Group Stage 1 breakdown below:
Speaking about WCS Challenger players, they are also spread into 8 groups, and each of them now knows one of their Group Stage 3 opponents (the others will be determined on Friday):
If you have been confirmed as a WCS Summer player and you have not been drawn into any of the groups, please contact our team via starcraft@starladder.tv as soon as possible.
Good luck, have fun — we’ll see you in Kyiv!

Feel free to disagree politely some more . NA vs EU is old and tired, so we could use some more rivalries in the foreign scene

Group K looks like a bloodbath three way tie to me

The group stage 3 qualified players look surprisingly not stacked. None of the groups are hopeless for those coming from group stage 2.

4 latam players group K looks hard for Erik, i hope he can make it

Group O could be interesting.. Harstem should make it, but Awers has been doing pretty well lately too... I hope Snute makes it through, though!

Mixu fighting!
Glad to see more than just one Finn on the board. Though Serral is an army of his own so we can't complain.

I do feel that China deserves more representation in WCS tournaments, but I suppose there can always be visa problems with those players so it's a bit tricky

Give Serral all. Just saving time and money think of the planet !

BO5 from RO24 *applauds at BO5 for early rounds*

Free money for Serral again

Even here Neeb runs into Future.
Also, thanks to European Zergs, the open sign-up Protoss and Terran players will probably sweep all the qualified Toss/Terrans besides Neeb and Special
