Zidane better have that 300+ million transfer budget if the plan is to rebuild in current market situation.

Now it looks like market prices didn't even plateau there and keep going further up. Zidane better have that 300+ million transfer budget if the plan is to rebuild in current market situation. The 300m is just to buy Neymar right? How does he get all the other guys he wants?

But Man City have "won the race" to sign him for £105 million and i was reading up on him today thinking wow, i genuinely only heard of this guy because the Benfica president was saying how they want all their "stars" to have ridiculous buyout clauses now to try and keep European clubs off of them for longer so they can be utilized more. That's his release clause. Biggest talent to come out of Portugal in a long time, IMO.

He needs to grow a lot of muscle to play in a big league and hope that the additional muscle does not hurt is speed a lot. But still potentially one of our best players from the last couple of years but I would still like to see him perform in Europa League before trying to have him cost that ridiculous amount.

however, i don't really see fernandes working with pogba - i feel he's more better as playmaker/attacking midfielder - am i wrong in this judgement?

Just look at the final and see what how he played against strong physical midfielders (which is what he was supposed to counter). But this is the last I will engage on that flop of a player. We will have to agree to disagree, sorry. Bruno Fernandes is Sporting's best player currently by miles but he is not a Pogba type of player. He does better with a smaller radius of action than Pogba, with that radius being higher up the pitch. He is good at decision making and has a great long shot and pass. He is also competent at reaching the box to increase the offensive numbers. I'm just worried about his physical ability. He has stamina to play everygame at a high pace around here, lets hope he can translate that into a stronger league in that regard (he did play well in Italy before so there is that).

You mean the final which he won against a superior team in their own home? Final that was only reached thanks to his all important goal against Poland?

You joined tl.net to post that? First of all, welcome. Second, the fact that Portugal won the game does not mean he played well. Third, while scoring a goal is very important, it does not make one a great player. As I said to your fellow Benfica fan, I will not engage again on account of this kid. I made an exception since you are new and I wanted to welcome you but that is it.
