Midfield and defense aren't looking as strong though. Argentina attack always look formidable, if you saw the qualifiers you will realise how disjointed it is. Messi + 10.

No Icardi is a bit strange for me. He scored a lot of goals.

Bad? https://twitter.com/bbcsport_david/status/998635490084622341 There aren't exactly many top tier quality managers out there to cherry pick from anyway so i guess it's good news overall. The way Arsenal has been and will be spending, it's unlikely that winning EPL is on top of their priority. Consistent top 4 finish along with good runs to CL QF and as well as winning Europa League, making Champions League SF/GF every now and then should be good results. For that i thank Emery is the right man for the job, especially after his cup runs with Sevilla.

Purely based on that I'd guess he's more of an attacking focused manager. I guess the optimistic note would be that he's a continuation to the positive football that Arsenal plays at their best.

Icardi is banned for life from the Argentinian team for stealing Maxi Lopez's wife haha. Because of this, they get Higuain. Emery at Arsenal is a good thing imo. He needs a club that can support his decisions, and he's definitely the kind to build something and stay long term. At PSG, he was never the #1 so his 'failures' in CL aren't totally his fault.

But Emery is perhaps the best manager for Arsenal at the moment.
