I get you love the drama and are not big on critical thinking but this would be a case of Brady hiding it from the league. I guess what should happen is suspension for lieing to his doctors!

I guess what should happen is suspension for lieing to his doctors! ad hominem. incorrect oversimplification. it does not matter what the injured player claims about the state of his injury. the current policy takes into account that players may very well either BS or be unaware of how injured they are.
"If the spotter stops the game, the player will be forced to sit out at least one play while undergoing a concussion test. Neither team will be charged with a timeout, but time will stop for a medical timeout."

whatsherface's comment cast doubt on the effectiveness of these injury spotter guys and that its all just a big charade to keep the ongoing concussion settlement thing at bay as much as possible. The BS excuses about Newton on September 9 against Denver were fucking hilarious. Surprise, surprise 3 weeks later Newton has (another) concussion. This is why i like "paying attention to outcomes".
i'll leave the lazy, open-ended, sloppy ad hominems to you. in this area you could improve the precision of your thinking.
regarding NFL operations in general it helps to keep in mind that most adults are liars.

But in your example people saw. Now you have someone claiming that the most watched player, in the most watched position on the most watched team had tons of these. That he was aware he was getting them but hiding them from everyone.
I get that it is juicy, but it is super unlikely. For a guy so "aware" of logical fallacy you think you would wait for some sort of proof before condemning those involved. I find it more likely that Gisele does not understand what she said then she uncovered the biggest conspiracy in sports history. Time will tell.
If anything someone who can hide symptoms from concussions from doctors and billions of people watching might absolve the NFL of some guilt. It has always been said that the NFL was aware of the issues. None of the billion eye balls that watched Tom Tom were able to notice an incident could mitigate some fault. But again when you read the whole transcript and not just the headline it seems much more likely that Gisele definition is much different then the medical definition.
Edit*+ Show Spoiler + Because of your comment about ad hominem I thought I would filter your comments and check them out from just thread to see if I was in fact taking my bias from your past on the hockey thread (kicked off) the basketball thread (laughed at repeatedly), UFC thread (try to find drama in the weight cutting but are completely backwards on how it works) but no I was bang on. Literally 80% of your posts are about the evil NFL mostly surrounding concussions. You more or less scour the internet and post any anti NFL article. You then make a bunch of, often incorrect comments about the CFL. You talk about techmo bowl, you make a bunch of lame Bills jokes. You tell a guy to talk about football not a twitter bet about the NFL, without noticing the Irony that you post more then anyone else not about the NFL. Then finally during the superbowl it actually looks like you are watching an actual game. However you are more interested in a lame historical connection that ends up being not even close to similar.
Yes posting history matters it is the reason they have a post tracker. It allows people to gauge to the motivation and accuracy of a post. For example Shellshock is a fan of the Skins, he is going to have some bias there but historically not too bad he tends to not be full homer and posts the good and the bad of them. Often with more insight since he clearly watches many of their games.
You post about Drama and loosely related to the NFL shit. You have never posted any insight based on watching games or players. I would not at all be shocked if the only game you watched all year was the super bowl. Because Gisele said this it is going to get investigated like crazy, I think they will find out she was wrong. My impression on you, based on the 1000's of posts I've read of yours on the various sports threads is you really don't care. You care if it's outside the game play drama you can "report" (post articles supporting the drama) on.

So. We lost Blount to the Eagles. Pats still have James White, but I'm not sure who will be the bruiser they can rely on. I think we still have some room for improvement on the O-Line, but we need to get a RB asap to help White.
|
I think the thought is Mathews from eagles, Ingram from saints, Blue from the texans, ivory from jags or other veterans will get cut at end of camp and be available.
|
I am pretty sure Mike Gillislee will take Blount's role.
|
Yeah pats actually have too many RB's right now. Burkhead, Lewis, White, Gillislee, Bolden, DJ Foster, Gaffney, Daniels Jr., plus a FB. There's actually talk that Lewis could be on the bubble if his injury has slowed him down too much.

The pats picked up Gisilee and Burkhead who although not blount force trauma types can run between the tackles and are much better all around backs who can block and catch passes and run outside etc. For that matter last time he left he came back mid season anyways.

Wait. When did we get Burkhead and Giillislee?

I've been buried in schoolwork. Barely caught the draft. One more month and then I can focus on the upcoming season. Thanks for the update.

More on Burkhead and Gillislee: Sharpfootball has them #1 and #2 in two of their proprietary stats:
Numberfire has them as the two most efficient backs from last year:
They are #1 and #2 rbs in FootballOutsiders' rushing DVOA from last year: [http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb]
The Pats' offensive line isn't great at run blocking so expect their numbers to dip this year, but they should both be upgrades to Blount.

Man. Will Burkhead get a ring this year?!?!?! He was a stud at Nebraska, so I'm obviously being a homer on the kid. Should be a great season.

edit not worth it

does any one know how many times the "concussion spotters" stopped play and then pulled a player out of the middle of a game last year?
