I love Mind's weird TvZ, but it's clearly less stable/durable than Flash's style. He loves to use dropships more than any other Terran I can think of besides Boxer himself, but drops vs. Zerg pay off way less on average; compare the cost between a dropship + 7 marines + 1 medic (550/125) to two scourge (25/75). On the other hand, after Jaedong secured his two island expos, there wasn't really anything Mind could do to stop him, especially after Jaedong began using drops of his own. It's sort of weird that drops are technically lair tech but practically hive tech in ZvT, which is probably why it gets overlooked, despite the ridiculous boost in mobility and threat it offers. Mind basically lost once his sunken break just baaaarely failed. But regardless, I'm sure he'll be back the next time around: neither he nor Flash have finished developing, unlike, oh, I don't know, Sea. In any case, this would have been much more dramatic as the MSL finals, and not a match to determine who kills off some B+/A- Protoss from STX. If Kal wins, and he's got a chance, there's just no interest. Jaedong isn't where Bisu was when Mind blew his Carriers out of the skies over Loki II. Lee Jaedong hwaiting.

If Jaedong's good against fe, m&ms, skterran why should any T (flash, mind, whoever) just play the current style of TvZ and make it easy for Jaedong??? There's always room for improvement and maybe the mech-style is viable against the newer zerg players like Jaedong. If he wants to win and to be a champion he must know how to deal with that. And rushes. Did it ever occur to you that a rush is not necessarily an all-in strategy? Maybe Jaedong is skipping defense for getting better economy and the T is just utilizing that fact to his advantage by making a rush. Thus being the smarter player and winning the game. TvZ mech build is heavily based on map properties only in maps where T can secure his second gas before even building a single factory unit, can this mech strategy be viable. Tell flash to play mech vs jaedong on maps like zodiac, python, or even blue storm. I bet he will never DARE to do so Mech vs Zerg is not a brand new thing, back when T adopted mech vs protoss (I guess many ppl on this forum doesn't even know Terran once played Toss with infantry as the mainstream), they also tried hard to use the same strategy vs Zerg. And it actually at some time worked, but only when Zergs are too careless with their micro. I am not saying Flash is not strong. He's excellent, he make the execution of mech vs Zerg almost perfect. And I am sure from now on, every decent Terran player will, or at least try to use mech on Katrina when playing Zerg. And I am also sure this fucking imbalanced map will be removed or at least heavily revised when this season ends.

Man, I watched these games and Mind got spanked hard. The defence at Zodiac was amazing. The timing and mind games on Katrina were awesome. And Bluestorm? Jaedong? Tau Cross? Same thing.
