Too bad Dark couldn't make it happen in NSSL. He still has GSL though, but it's a tough group and he might want to up those ZvT skills a bit before going against MMA again and certainly INnoVation. Against Innovation yes, and I think that even with practice he can't beat Innovation, but he has managed to destroy MMA multiple times. I don't think that MMA can beat Dark at all. MMA could beat the Dark who played today

It was the macro game he struggled with, so he has nothing to fear from MMA if he plays like that.

Maru gonna get both championships and defeat Life in both -EPIC- finals. Mark my words.

Rip Dark. I was hoping the 2 biggest rising stars to advance but Maru in the ro8 is hype as well

However on the other side I don't like that it takes soooo long to kill a Zerg even in a superior position, and that if you make one big mistake the game can totally turn around. Unfortunately I don't have Marus skills so this happens to me way too often (as Terran, playing random btw). But well this is what we get: a game balanced around the very highest skill level. The only thing I don't like in TvZ is the lack of different unit compositions from Zerg's side. Terran can open with a lot of different things, depending on the game is going for Hellions, Banshees, Marines, then Hellbat pushes, Widow Mines, Thors, sometimes few Tanks, drops etc. Zerg is going for Ling, Muta, Banelings every single game, occasionally adding Roaches. Even though it is very action packed and probably the most interesting match up, it is still monotone from the Zerg's perspective. I liked ZvP before because Zerg had a ton of choices, and a lot of Zergs were playing this differently, but nowadays everybody just go straight for Swarm Hosts as they realized that they are the most efficient way of dealing with Protoss. It is true (besides: the Terran plays Mech, then Swarmhosts incoming). This was different in WoL. The reason why Zerg don't play BL Infestor anymore is because Maps have become bigger (and therefore the T knows his way around this combo) and because you don't need that unit composition to win vs terran, its propably easier for the the Zerg. Hopefully the addon will change something, because I hate it too, that almost every TvZ is the same besides very small changes.

Unfortunately I don't have Marus skills so this happens to me way too often (as Terran, playing random btw). But well this is what we get: a game balanced around the very highest skill level. The other way around ending a game with an advantage isn't that much easier. See g2 of Dark vs Dream when it took Dark 10mins to force the gg out of Dream after he basically won with the roach bust and the game could have been quickly turned around or even out if that 3widow mine drop had really hit home. That's how matchups with good defenders advantage should look like. It should be a constant struggle, not just 1big army battle or one big gamble and insta-gg. It's strong enough to have these roach busts or hellbat pushes giving you already near unloseable advantages, no need to have secure game winning strategies. I agree mostly. But then again: https://www.youtube.com/embed/1UjHQSqGz8Q Look at Minute 25:50. Until then the game was almost even, TY a bit in front doing serious damage over and over again, killing tech buildings and drones. One engagement and he losses everything and cannot really come back from it, because if both players ECO is fine, the terran macro is just way slower. At least it FEELS that way. Of course TY made then a lot of mistakes cause he had to risk a lot to make the comeback. He then came back... just to lose it again. because of just losing all his units at once (about min 37) Game 2 same https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZA6qH-nw9hM Until Minute 20 it looked even: constant drops left and right, doing lots of damage, but the Zerg can stay in the game and keep it even. Then the Zerg finally has built up the muta numbers he needs and starts to harass -> Terran falls completely apart. I dunno what a Terran can do at that point, had that several time. Leaving units (thors, mines) at home is not really an option since you really need to have everything at the front and pushing the Zerg (not winning but trading), Turrets are shit against those Muta-Numbers... I am a bit desperate when it comes to lategame TvX (for Zerg and Protoss) BTW I really hate widow mines :D Too versatile. And Units that produce free units Still a great TvZ where in the End I am not sure why TY lost, I think both had the games on times.
I agree that it is hard on both sides, especially on pro level. The problem asbout a game, balanced about the pro level is, that below that it may really be imba at timese and therefore annoying to play. I play random now for 2 years (before that I went to diamond with Terran and Zerg), And I am really struggling to keep on playing with some matchups, its just less and less enjoyable, especially if some brainless 50 APM Allin is sometimes so effective no matter what I do. But I guess that is something blizzard just won't patch out and this versatility (or whatever it is called) ruins it for me, especially watching the games. Because I feel the best player in the world should win tournaments left and right sometimes, but sometimes the winner of yesterday gets knocked out the day after just by some allin or whatever. It is also exciting of course, since you cannot expect the same guy to win over and over again, but on the other hand I find it a bit unfair.
Howerver the games were exciting and I love the TvZ matchup, I wish there is more and not just PvP or PvZ like last year, where I completely stopped playing and watching

Must feel good for Dream, considering all anyone was talking about is "I wonder how good Dark vs Maru will be, who do you think Dark will rather want to play in the playoff stage?"
